I am truly amazed reading these negative reviews and if true the company have deteriorated significantly. In 2004 JP Joslin block paved a 4 car drive and constructed an antique brick wall around the property perimeter. I remember the work being done efficiently with very little disruption and the standard of both the workmen and workmanship was outstanding. The fact that 14 years later the drive is still as new with no subsidence speaks volumes of their work
Recently constructed a fence in front of the house of an elderly couple blocking legal access to the front door and the only access for emergency services and royal mail as well as the drive which currently has a car on it. Not only refused to stop building but were aggressive to the 62 year old woman and complained when she dared to go out of her own front door. While a job is a job, I expect a competent builder to consider whether or not what they are doing is legal before proceeding and when informed that what they're doing is illegal to at least stop until it can be cleared up
Today, I experienced the most ignorant set of employees of Joslin, who were working in Highfield road, Heath Hayes. They had parked their lorry very close to cul de sac signs in Highfield rd., obstructing the highway, & on asking them just to move it a couple of foot so that I could get through to my house, was told no. The man disappeared up the drive of the house where they were 'working', so I beeped on my horn, and another employee came out and started arguing the toss of how much room they'd left. If this is the nature of the workforce, it makes me wonder just what kind of job they do of anybody's property etc.. Someone in authority at Joslin's needs to have a word in their shell like ears.
I have just used J P Joslin ltd for landscaping my garden, the work was to a very high standard and they work very quick. I had seen their work when they did my son's garden and their landscaping skills and brickwork are excellent, it is rare today to get such high standards of workmanship at such a reasonable price, If you require landscaping then I suggest you give them a call, They are a small company Mr Joslin and his son are very skilled, helpful and friendly, the quality and service of work is more than you could want.
I had my back garden done by these people. One of them was effing and blinding very loud so that my neighbours could hear.my wife shouted out of the window to stop it and he took a mardy.they put a shed base down and it was 12 inches higher at the one end.no one would put a shed on it.so i phoned and phoned but no reply.i saw the van 3 months later and copped the men working there.i told them to tell joslin to get my shed base sorted or i will be coming to his house.mirraculously, he called us and said the work men will be round in the morning.i paid him £4500 to do a job.he said it would take a week. It took 4 month's. NEVER AGAIN!!!
