I’ve recently lost my mum and Joe and his team have been incredible. I could not have done everything without them. They made a hard day, a beautiful one. It was everything my mum asked for and more. There service is impeccable and it makes a huge difference when you trust the people who are looking after your loved ones. The whole process from start to finish has been beautiful and I will continue to use Joe’s services when needed in the future. Not only does Joe’s business look after your loved ones but they make sure every detail is covered from the flowers, basket/coffin and even jewellery which you may want from a cremation. Joe has everything you need and honestly takes all pressure off you to make sure you are looked after at all times. I just can’t thank Joe, Lesley and Wendy enough it’s something I will never forget x

Hi, when my dear Sister Ida passed away at the beginning of May this year, I had not got a clue what to do. I asked my Daughter in law who recommended Jospeh O’Connell. My friend also recommended them Well that advice was the BEST. I mean the BEST. They went above and beyond being a Funeral Director’s. They were so kind and understanding in always, especially Wendy and Catherine. I don’t drive and I am not young. They would call to pick up information, Catherine even offered and picked up on her way to work, my Sister’s Land army Certificate to laminate it for me for safe keeping. On the day of the Funeral everyone was so kind, Joseph even walked me to my Son’s car after the service. I cannot THANK EVERYONE enough. Wendy on the evening after the funeral rang me to check I was alright. I rang a couple of weeks after to apologise I had not been to pay and collect my Sister’s Ashes. Lesley reassured me not too worry. Then ten minutes later, Lesley rang to say Wendy would call with them. When Wendy arrived the Ashes were in the most beautiful Scatter tube, pale blue with Poppies all around. I cannot thank them enough. If you want a Funeral that is all about your Loved one’s and you. I can’t praise the team enough! From the first moment of dealing with Wendy she handled everything with a very professional attitude while at the same time being very caring and showing empathy at a very sad and upsetting time. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she explained everything very clearly and made us feel at ease. Wendy guided us through the process and handled everything for us. I would also like to thank Joe who was handling the day of the funeral. He made us feel at ease and was very knowledgeable and made what was a very sad day bearable. Couldn’t complain about a single thing from start to finish dealing with Joseph O Connell funeral service’s and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this truly wonderful company to deal with in what is a very upsetting time. So glad we chose this lovely family business !

Joseph and the team are truely wonderful. They arranged for not only my Fathers funeral in February 2022, but then 5 months later also arranged my Nans funeral in August 2022. As you can imagine this was an extremely tough time for me and my family and Joseph and his team not only supported us but showed such love and compassion, and nothing was too much trouble. They made the whole experience smooth, and so beautiful, and we will be eternally grateful to each of them. Thank you. xx

I would like to say a big thank you to all at Joseph O’Connells.  When Mum sadly passed away,  I had what I thought would be the very difficult and daunting task of arranging her funeral. However Joe and all of the team took care of everything and supported and guided me every step of the way with such professionalism, care and compassion.  It was all of the little touches and attention to detail in the arrangements which made Mum's funeral so special for me and my family. I can't put into words how much we appreciated the help, care and compassion we received after the very sudden loss of my long term partner and my daughter's dad. Wendy and the team was so thoughtful and considerate and literally put my mind at ease on what was a very daunting and upsetting time. The professionalism shown was second to none. The experience in the chapel was so lovely and comforting, they dressed him lovely and he looked so peaceful and it helped my two young daughters considerably & for that alone I'll never be able to thank them enough. I chose this small family business for a unique, exceptional standard. Everything we wanted and asked for was delivered with grace, integrity and empathy. The stress of losing our beloved Mum was made so much easier by this dedicated firm. They went above and beyond and all our wishes and more were met; also their florist made up the most beautiful full length spray which was out of this world and was done at extremely short notice. They were there to listen and support us all at the worst time of our lives and really did ease our anguish. All our sincere thanks to Joe and his dedicated team. They will always be a special memory in our hearts.

Joe and team went above and beyond with supporting the family with my dads funeral nothing was to big or small. Joe even opened his office on fathers day so we could see my dad. Joe and his team have been amazing through everything. I don't know where to start my dad became ill over a year ago and wanted to prepare for the next journey of his life I rang o'connells who were so lovely and helpful that I knew that when the worst happened they would take good care of my dad. And they did not only did they look after all my dad's wishes but they took care of me and my family. It was one of the hardest things I've had to do but Wendy was so helpful and the rest of the team that helped. I could not recommend this fabulous team enough. Thank you so much for all that you did u said all that time ago that you treat them like family and you really did ill forever be grateful   thank you all
