Ah - John Lewis. I used to think that this was an expensive, posh-folks-only store. How wrong I was! This marvellous store covers a lot of space in Queensgate over 4 levels. It has everything (except groceries, I think). They have a great price-matxh guarantee - and great prices. I've bought clothes, kitchen equipment, greetings cards, electronics, binoculars and a microwave oven from here. Their pick-up point is easy to get to and is manned by a personable chap with a ready smile. I like John Lewis a lot.

Very big department store. Nice restaurant. Can park in Queensgate to access it right as you come out of car park. Three floors. Cloakroom facilities.

Excellent, unbelievably large shop. 3 floors, each one selling a particular type of product; ie clothes, furnishings, and toys, but they are not crowded. Very good marketing practice. Because of a medical condition, the problem for me is that there is only one toilet facility, right at the end of the 3rd(?) floor.

So sad,it used to be the place for excellence. The staff used to personify quality,alas no longer, they seem indifferent to their heritage. No longer helpful ,whether in shop,quotes or phone, bicker about which shop is responsible.

Good customer service but availability of greetings cards now not as wide. Not cheap either Where is the promised contactless payment option? After all, Waitrose has had it for years...
