Put delivery in over 2 hrs ago, ring shop to be told driver left 20 mins ago with it which was 10 mins ago ,so needless to say good been in car for half hour ... disgraceful service

I decided to have a lazy Friday evening when at home with my 3 kids and phone in a simple order of 2 meals at 4.50pm to my local John Dory's (about 150m away but needed delivery as couldn't leave the house). When I asked how long I was surprised when they said 30-45mins but thought...they are probably busy, ok we can cope with 45minutes. After 50 minutes I phoned up to ask was it on its way and express my frustration with how long it was taking- I was told it hadn't even left the shop and would be sent out first thing when the delivery driver came back which was soon. I asked was soon 5 minutes or 15 minutes. He said probably half an hour. So 1 hour 30minutes for a sausage supper and a some chicken! Rather than apologise or make offer some sort of compensation he chose instead to say 'it was busy' and 'traffic was bad' and made no effort to keep me as a customer or take any blame for this appalling service. I will not be back and happily share my experience with my friends. Absolutely useless!

Nice food, would phone in advance as it's really busy now that they are doing deliveries.
