This store is a must visit if you are in London, take the opportunity to visit Portobello and use the chance to visit this cozy record store. If you look for good prices and rare gems, this is your place! Recommendation: Search for the records you like on Discogs and listen to them there rather than waiting to hear them on store as they only have one turntable which is controlled by the stuff behind the desk. So, bring headphones and internet connection !!!

A London musical stalwart packs a potent punch for a pint-size. An eclectic and astute inventory may be limited but avoids belabouring the obvious, predictable and the ho-hum. Here, likely find the unexpected, more obscure and perhaps unfamiliar. Staff are approachable, sussed and pleasant. Premier league outfit.

Shops like this, a dying breed sadly, need all the support and good will passed on. I've been to the shop twice over timemy mother worked on Portobello Road for 51 years so the area is Ultra familiar. The same chap I spoke to was very knowledgeable, not patronising ,well priced, and some gems.Good luck luck and all the very best. You deserve it! Great shop!

Rare vinyl here, at a great price... Heritage here, been open since the 60's, I worked for them for a while, so I know the ins and outs of the store. Number 1 Record store In Portobello.

Excellent shop, great range of records - and they really live up to their name. I visited their shop and like I kid in a candy store ended up buying a large number of records. including 3 and 4 of the collection. "London Is The Place For me. In the chaos of me chucking records from the racks at them they accidently pout the discs for parts 1 and 2 in the covers. When I rang to ask if they could sell me the discs for 3 & 4 in the sleave for 1 & 2, they refused, but just said: " No we will post the correct disks and sleave to make upothe set free of charge. Fantastic place.

Ordered from them for years and all of a sudden things have gone sour. They put records on their website that are out of stock but they still take payment for them. 3 times in as many months or less this has happened to me and I just had enough and wanted to cancel my entire order. This was the response I got: "This is how we work, though. Please don't order from us." Great customer service! Do yourself a favour; AVOID! There is a reason they are cheap. You get what you pay for.

The Portobello site is easily THE best record shop in London wearing it's long standing heritage well and providing an ever fascinating selection. This is the standard that all the recent new arrival shops should aspire to - none are even close yet. Their online service is friendly, efficient and very good value

Great store with the awesome collection of reggae, dub, blues, jazz, dance, funk, soul etc. vinyls and CD's constantly stocking. Very reasonable prices and a bit bellow the neighbouring vendors. Must visit if you hang around the Portobello Rd. and love music!
