It’s Good Friday so I checked online if the job centre was open, and it was high lighted in green that it was open. I then travel from my home to town to turn up at the job centre to find it is closed and every other shop is open. The job centre needs to update there website better by actually indicating that’s it’s closed or open not highlight green and say their open but put underneath that it may vary because of Good Friday, please actually state whether your open or not so that people don’t end up wasting their time and money trying to get there.

Absolutely horrendous… dangerously stereo typical… horribly patronising… and I honestly I have only ever met ONE person in there speak to me with ANY caliber of respect and I’m grateful to have met Dan but it is genuinely So sad that we have to be made to feel to so disgusted with ourselves because of the staffs nasty demeanour.
Staff were so helpful, really went out of thier way to help.
Some of the staff I spoke with were helpful and gave great advice. Others were going through the motions working in what is a pretty outdated service to be fair. One Advisor even listened to everything I had to say then replied with "I saw you last week" never met and then came up with a flood of random job suggestions that had no relevance to anything I'd said. The good advisors will help you, but if anyone is out there stuck looking for work - just apply to jobs advertised online, keep applying, try hard at all jobs that respond, and sooner or later there will be a decent Job for you.
Sometimes you can be waiting lot longer to be seen or sent to the wrong floor. Some of the staff are pretty helpful other staff are heartless who will stop your moeny for being 2 mins late.
Tell them something is urgent, yet they done care as long as they collect there pay packet. They moan about full time permanent jobs they are only doing 6 month contracts themselves don’t be hypocrites
This place is a joke ,wait 10 mins and no help at all , and then to top it all the gave me a wrong phone number for department of works and pensions on a slip of paper , pass the buck .
Great friendly staff that are always willing to lend a hand.
