Popular and busy café that serves delicious, freshly-made sandwiches, cakes and pastries, as well as a selection of lunches. Great turnover means food is always fresh. Homely, friendly atmosphere. Recommended.
Great spot for dine in or take away. Lovely cream cakes and appetizing looking ready made meals as well as a choice of cold and hot food. Always seems to be a queue at the deli. Lovely selection of warm food and sandwiches. Reminds me of a typical Irish restaurant, take a tray, queue, collect your cutlery, find a table. You are given a number and served at the table you find. Lots of seating at the back and upstairs, although it doesnt seem so when you first arrive. Fills the gap, fast friendly, good pot of tea.
Gorgeous food. Top class service also busy and clean. Can't wait to return.
Lovely pleasant helpful staff. Great food all the time, it never disappoints.
Maybe called at the wrong time 16.45 no hot food due probably closing time sandwiches were lovely though and well filled felt a little under pressure due to closing time apart from that very nice cafe
Staff were friendly unfortunately my roast dinner wasn't very good. I had asked for the gravy to be separate but it was on dinner. The girl was nice in changing it but I was waiting a while. When I did get it the chef had put black pepper corns all over the vegetables which I couldn't eat as I hate black pepper. Maybe in future let the customer decide if they want it or not, thats why salt and pepper are the table. Cafe very clean
Really lovely girl behind counter that took our order extremely nice and efficient the breakfast was amazing very good all round
Food very good in here. I visit fairly often. Pancakes is my favourite. Toilets are very dated. Need to be modernised and cleaned more often..
Great selection of pastries and other flour baked foods. Also on offer is sit-in breakfast and all day cafe dishes. Great coffees and teas available. Order process for sit-in meals wasn't clearly labelled at my time of visit or maybe I missed it. I guess the locals know but if you're a visitor, you might unsuccesfully sit and wait for service.
We used to go to joannes fairly regularly but havent been there in ages, went in today for a fry and I can tell ya now I wont ever be goin back, how in the name of god can even the most inexperienced chef/cook in the world make a complete bollix of a fry
