"Advanced clinical massage using myofascial release, trigger point therapy, scar release, acupressure, and soft tissue release, with the intention of getting people out of pain without causing pain. My aim is to rebalance the body, restore flexibility, reduce pain, release restrictions, and help my clients achieve better sleep, improved mobility and return to daily activities. I offer tailor-made treatment plans for people with chronic pain conditions and sports and lifestyle injuries. Specialising in scar release therapy for recovering breast cancer patients post and pre surgery. All ages welcome."

Julie Barnard has over 10 years treated me for back, neck and leg injuries and each time she has correctly diagnosed the cause and treated the muscles successfully. Julie takes a personal interest in each client and when the problem is severe she will follow up to be sure that progress is being made. I've always been delighted with the treatment I've received and with the exercise plan which Julie provides. Fantastic value for the outcomes. Thank you for taking the pain out of aging!
Julie is amazing! I have been in pain for so long and have been struggling to sleep. Julie has worked on my legs, knees, hips and lower back and I’m feeling more mobile and less in pain. Highly recommend Julie for any muscle pain you may have - Julie will mend you!
Have been seeing Julie now for over four years to help with an old hip injury that had been passed from one hospital department to another with nothing being shown on any images so I was told there was no problem - very disheartening. Julie was recommended and from the first visit was friendly and sympathetic and I finally felt hopeful that something could be done. She asked lots of questions about how I sat and moved and from that first treatment I felt better, throughout the session I was asked how the pressure of the massage was and no treatment has ever hurt they are just really relaxing and most importantly relieve pain! I visit Julie for ‘maintenance’ now and would highly recommend her magic fingers!
I rarely write reviews but JMB Advanced Clinical Massage deserves it. Julie is so much more than a massage therapist. She is a true healer, in every sense. She is the only massage therapist who was able to get rid of my sciatica and relieve my TMJ pain in 1 session. Her advanced knowledge, skill and experience of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue is also helping me with my severe neck, shoulder and hip pain. And without fail I leave every appointment feeling happier, more mobile and pain free. I highly recommend her.
I started seeing Julie about 10 years ago. I had been suffering with RSI type issues and neck and shoulder pain for a couple of years and had been to various physios and even acupuncture with no success. I am not totally sure how I found Julie but I am so glad I did as within a few sessions my issues were significantly reduced and gradually went away. Due to the nature of my work they come back at times and I have adhoc sessions to keep it under control. However I have gone from thinking of giving up work to just minor issues. Julie is always friendly, listens to what has changed and suggests exercises that you can do to help you self manage as well. I would highly recommend Julie for aches and strains.
Julie is an excellent and highly professional therapist. Her work is rooted in a significant academic understanding of how the body works, and what to do when the body goes wrong. I recommend her very highly.
Julie - AKA the leg wizard! Regular non-intrusive, non-painful maintenance treatments enable me to compete in triathlon and stay in good fettle with very few niggles.
Julie is amazing. Knows exactly what she’s talking about and what she is doing. Highly recommend.
