"In 1904 James Brown set up his own business, starting with just a horse and harness which he hired out to a local coal merchant to help with the coal deliveries. The whole team were knowledgeable, kind, considerate, caring and respectful. They made a difficult distressing time bearable through excellent customer service. Riana was fantastic and helpful in all planning aspects, Anne Marie so kind in her caring and support when I first visited my husband at rest, Brandon as the funeral director discussing with me and planning the funeral to run so smoothly and Mark as the officiant who spoke so eloquently and really described my husband so well after a short family meeting that most there thought he was a close family friend. It was a true celebration of my husbands life and this was so appreciated by us all.
When i first went in i was greeted by Riana who was amazing and took me through everything i needed to do to organise the funeral of my mum. She was very amenable to my needs and i felt coming to Browns i had made the best choice, from setting up to the actual funeral day itself. I cant remember the girls name who was in charge of the funeral but she was amazing also she guided me through every aspect of what was happening. I cant thank Browns enough for their guidence and help.
My mother's funeral arrangements and service where handled professionally and sensitively by James Brown and Son. From making the arrangements for the funeral, the running of the service on the day and the care and attention taken to support the family, I would recommend this funeral home to support you in what can be difficult times.
The staff at Browns are so kind and lovely with regards to funerals. The make a hard situation a bit easier. Thank you to everyone who we dealt with over the last 2 weeks
Beyond First class from first point of contact. All the staff at James Brown & Sons, Ann marie, Joan, Andrew and everyone else involved with helping me organize my Fathers funeral. I can’t thank you all enough. You all made me feel very comfortable in my time of need. The level of customer service received was way beyond anything I have ever received before. Daddy had the greatest send off in celebration of his life. The care and attention to detail was amazing. Megain Nazarene Seniors Group want to say a huge thank you to Andrew and the whole team at James Brown for their very kind donation to our outing at Coleman’s Garden Centre. It’s been a long year for our older folk and we have had a great day, lovely lunch and really appreciate your kind and thoughtful gift.
I cannot recommend Brown's and their staff highly enough when I recently lost my partner. From the initial phone contact with Nicola to the wonderful Anne Marie who showed such care and understanding of my needs and wishes. To Andrew for his very kind, calm and reassuring presence. The support, kindness and care taken with myself and my loved one was second to none.
Highly recommended All staff at James brown and son were amazing. Especially those who worked closely with me and sister. From my mum passed away they helped us every step of way. They took good care of mum. They made my mum look like herself, for us to see her n return home. What we wanted for mum they made happen. Answered any questions as this was my first time arranging a funeral. High standards to the every end after the funeral. They made me feel at ease and helped me so much. That I am greatful for. I cannot recommend James Brown & Sons highly enough. My family travelled over from England for my sister's funeral last week and the staff could not have been more helpful. They provided a baby seat for my little grandson, placed the funeral car at our disposal for the whole day and gently guided us through the various expected processes and procedures. I cannot think of any way in which they could have improved their service.
I have nothing but the highest praise for James Brown & Son who recently organised my Mum's funeral. We were guided along the way and kept informed of the developments throughout. They treated us sympathetically - yet in a friendly and relaxed way and organised a beautiful, dignified service and burial. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.
