Came in to view a few pieces in the Tudor range - made it clear I wasn’t walking away with anything today yet Chloe’s service was still very attentive and, overall, made the experience so pleasurable. Being someone young, I don’t always get treated with the same respect as older customers. I was also impressed with Chloe’s knowledge on the brand considering how many brands she must have to be familiar with. Based on the experience today, I will be returning to buy my watch from here.
So, Ernest Jones won’t put my review online as ‘it does not meet their feedback requirements’. It was negative feedback! so thought I’d circumnavigate that via google. So this watch was bought online not from any particular outlet please bear that in mind, in fact BOTH times I had to take a watch back to Ernest Jones, the staff there have been incredibly helpful. So bought an £800 Hamilton watch on line from Ernest Jones, it turned up, upside down in a damaged /broken box possibly courier fault BUT after I’d taken the watch out, I noticed the watch was tarnished AND had spots of corrosion on the crown and the strap, leaving me to believe it was either secondhand, an item that had already been returned or a demonstration/shop soiled model. I’ve had no problems with other shops only here, tried twice and had to take back twice, at my cost of both time /parking & fuel & will not be buying from Ernest Jones again. ‘Caveat Emptor’ as they say. Oh and finally I have made a complaint to the consumer ombudsman As more of us should about my previous feedback which they asked me for I might add which they refused to accept on the grounds it “did not meet their criteria”, after reading all through the rules I had not broken any, so in my eyes it was refused on the grounds that it was negative.
Spend thousands only for them to take no responsibility for the product's condition when sold and suggests that it's your fault for not checking. Thankfully it was covered under warranty still. Disgusting service, never again will I purchase from this company.
Couldn't be happier with the service at this Ernest Jones store today. From start to finish, Sophie was absolutely amazing and so professional. Chloe also went out of her way to help me get the Omega watch that I wanted and had it ordered for me with super fast delivery. Thank you.
Gave my classic armani watch to get battery and reseal put in waited 2 weeks the FIRST time to get it back after taking it home found out it wasn't resealed. Took it back to be told it will be done in a week. After week went back to collect and was told they no longer provide the reseal so got ripped off and my classic watch is not wearable due to water getting in to my watch. Will never go back to them again even spending thousands with them every year.... service was appalling warning don't ever take your expensive watch as they will ruin it..... waste of money!!!!!!!
Hopeless customer service. Went to enquiry for dropping my Omega Seamaster battery change. Without even looking, the lady told me £140 where as it is only £100 of sent directly to Omega Boutique. She lady advised me to send to Omega Boutique. Don't buy any watch from here as I don't see any intention of providing customer service. Prefer Gold Smith
Entered the store on Saturday 27th July. Went to the Omega display and found a watch my wife liked. In front of the desk was an Asian gentleman doing some paperwork. I excused myself and requested some assistance. He tutted, stressed he was finishing something and then went to get an assistant. The young female didn't introduce herself, told us to 'sit down'. She got the watch out Omega Aqua Terra showed it on sale at £2,430 and we were told we could have an additional 10% off today. Her sales pitch was poor and factually inaccurate. I am a bit of a watch nerd and some of the mistakes she made were frightening, when selling high end watches. Agreed to take the watch. So off the sales assistant went to get the box etc. After 10minutes she came back, apologised the price was wrong and they wanted over £4k. What a collosal mix up. We weren't offered a suitable alternative or other such assistance. We just left amazed at the service we received. I'd never buy a high end watch from EJ. The standards are low.
Enquired about a watch service and was quoted a fixed price of £140.00. When I took the watch in to have the required service carried out the price had jumped to £158.00 how can this be? No reasonable explanation given but as the watch required being sent to the manufacture's workshop I had no other option as to pay the higher cost. Just had a call from Ernest Jones to inform me that the manufacturer to whom my watch was sent to by EJ will not fit a new battery unless the watch had a service at a cost of £700.00 plus. This sounds like blackmail so I informed EJ to ask Breitling to return my watch in repaired. This is not EJ fault but it really is not the way to build up a good business relationship!
I have recently retired and have decided to buy a luxury watch. I saw the watch I have researched, an Omega de Ville price £4290 in the window of the Derby Intu branch. I entered the shop with my wife and we waited to be attended to, and we waited. There were two young assistants who never acknowledged us, so eventually I asked if anyone was serving. I was told to wait a minute and told to sit down. There was one other customer in the shop. This was not the service I expected, so I left and bought the same watch elsewhere in Derby.
Had a nightmare with my wedding ring sizing. The team in store were incredible every visit. Really take their time and look after you.
