Excellent service - Very efficient and comprehensive. Friendly but direct. Not too much small talk. The way I like it! Knew about a broad range of cameras and he, I think his name was Sean, was able to educate me about the technical side of different cameras and their dedicated uses. Will return for sure. Highly recommended for all your photo/video needs!
A handy place to go and have a passport photo taken. They always come out so much better than the godawful ones you get from photobooths. They will also check the photo that they've taken meets with all of the necessary standards, so that you can be certain it will be accepted by the Home Office. I think it only cost £10. Friendly staff and good service.
Disappointed. Shop looks nice and well stocked but what should set a place like this apart so you spend you let money there rather than online should be the service. The service was very bad. The shop assistant actually sighed when I walk towards him as he was busy printing photos. Having made it clear that he was not that interested in my questions I went up to John Lewis and spent £700.
These guys are great! I get them to develop all my film, they are good people and offer a very reasonable charge for 35mm as well as next day and 1 hour services! handy. they also let me bring my bike inside when collecting to avoid to hassle or risk of leaving it outside when it was super busy on good friday.
I had a sensor clean on my canon d1300 DSLR Camera at this store, I was so happy with what they did, as they also cleaned up my mirror as well, what was unexpected as I could see dust in my view finder , as well spots from dust on my sensor, they did a fantastic job, fully recommend them for this service, £30 for up yo 48 hour Service, I got my camera back after 24 hours, but you can pay for an instant service at £50 , about an hour tops ! Staff there was very friendly, I will be returning to purchase some lens that I require in the near future, as the service was so good! Very happy, and thank you to member of staff who cleaned my camera!! Fully recommend them for any services, but especially sensor clean!
Brilliant service! I rang the store to check stock of the camera I needed to buy and was treated with the utmost courtesy . Consequently I traveled into Nottingham to pay for the item and was really happy at the service I received - Steve, the manager and assistant Sean could not have been kinder or more helpful. Everything including the price I paid was first class. It was such a pleasure to do business with real people rather than with the faceless internet and I got a much more superior experience. My camera had to be sent from the warehouse but it arrived first thing the next day as promised. Cannot recommend this store and its staff highly enough - make sure you pay them a visit!
Ok, maybe this is just me, but they really give me the idea that they have no clue whatsoever. First time I visited the store, I was looking for a 50mm lens which they said they were gonna order it from another store or a warehouse in Derby if I recall and I could collect it in no more than two days later. I was waiting for nearly ten days, after countless emails and phone calls, till I finally got it. The second time, I needed passport photos. It didn't go well... The embassy rejected the ones Jessops gave me, because as they said, my characteristics were barely visible, even though the employee told me "that's the only way the photos are taken". Needless to say, I went to another local store to sort it out, plus they didn't charge me £10. The third time I've been there, I just wanted to print some of my digital copies and frame them. Boy, if that was a disaster... every single photo looked nothing like my digital copies. They are so dark to the point that I can only see them by using an interrogation light. Sorry, but I highly doubt if I ever go to this store or any other again.
I would like to thank Jessops for re-opening the Nottingham store and for appointing Mr. Steven Stone as manager. Since his appointment it has been a pleasure to visit the store. The technical knowledge and advise on offer is excellent. Customers can try any equipment without feeling pressurised to buy and this attitude makes people feel at ease with their purchase. I feel the company policy is also on my side if I've made a mistake with my choice, which is very reassuring. Under the guidance of Mr. Stone all the staff offer the same wonderful customer care. Thanks again from one very satisfied customer.
After a bad experience looking at cameras in John Lewis today I decided 'stuff the points' I'm off to Jessops!! The lass quickly came up and offered help- she admitted she wasn't sure why something didn't work and made sure someone came to help once he was free it's nice when someone doesn't fake knowledge!!. I think it was the manager who came over- he listened- and gave me the best advice on which to buy and why but wasn't forcing anything on me!! He even gave me a deal on the memory card and case!! All in all sterling service- turns out the lass who first helped was new- she's a future asset!!
It's okay, staff aren't as knowledgeable on photography as the staff at the Birmingham store, but this is a much smaller store with limited selection. I suppose it's good if you're a beginner to photography but if you're used to a more higher level then this isn't the store for you.
