A gorgeous little spot in Shoreditch. A beautiful exhibition was held there when we came in. We were lucky to come across the owner who showed us around the studios, the processes, the staff and the rooftop with the “jealous” sign and a great view of Shoreditch. Highly recommended little place.
My experience with Jealous Gallery regarding the purchase of 3 artworks by Jamie Hewlett was regrettably disappointing. I encountered several issues: - The Golden Hoop artwork I received was significantly smaller than the size I had ordered, and there was no prior communication regarding this discrepancy. - The Snake Head Rattle artwork arrived with noticeable undulations on the paper. Upon consulting my framer, I learned that the thinness of the paper 330gsm used for this particular print was likely the cause of the problem. Despite my concerns, Jealous Gallery denied this, claiming it was one of their thicker papers. However, today editions of Jamie Hewlett's artwork have been printed on 500gsm paper, contradicting their assertion. When addressing these issues, the only solution proposed was dry mounting, a compromise that would diminish the artwork's value. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and providing evidence, no compensation or alternative resolutions were offered beside telling me that they did not feel the artwork was in unsatisfactory condition. Overall, my experience with Jealous Gallery left much to be desired in terms of both product quality and customer service.
Had an amazing experience meeting one of our favourite artists David Boudigui. Shop is small but full of brilliant art
Brilliant small gallery, has some very affordable art and also a program to spread the cost across a few months. They also welcome people who just want to browse. Their art changes often so drop by regularly to see the latest.
Great place supporting up and coming artists, if you're very lucky you might get a tour of the paintwork!! Or even meet the artist your buying the work of .... not your run of the mill gallery
A must visit gallery and studio. Always great work on show and amazing prints for sale.
Jealous Gallery is an example of a business with extraordinary customer service skills. I had ordered a print through a different service, and when I received it to be framed, the framer damaged the print. After spending 5 years trying to locate this print and now devastated, I started my search over. I am so thankful to have found Jealous Gallery and for their attentiveness to my story. I sent in an inquiry through their website, asking if the print was still available, and received an email back the next day. The gallery worked closely with me and the artists studio to attempt to recover a new print on my behalf. One month after contacting Jealous Gallery, I received my new mint print in the mail. I am beyond thankful for all the staff involved - Rachel, Amy, Louise and Maddie. I highly recommend this gallery - you cannot ask for sweeter women that truly care and understand the importance of art. I am so thankful for their help.
I made my first art online purchase with Jealous Gallery. It was a very good experience! The team is very kind and anwers E-Mail questions very fast. The packaging is stable and the shipping via FedEx extremly fast. Recommendable!
Great gallery space, with a team who care. Went to a recent opening of a Jane Dinmore exhibition and had a great time - great work, well framed and limited edition prints of the 1 of the originals produced by Jealous for very reasonable price.
Another great gallery to visit when you are around Shoreditch High Street area. Rather optimised space, but always filled with interesting artworks often made by artists with ties to modern creative and music industry and realistic starting prices for the pieces. Free drinks on openings : Since they do some of the silk screen printing collectively, the level of detail in series is astonishing.
