Great pub, brilliant breakfast and free coffee free fills. The pub was clean service good and has a local history in the old part of town. Highly recommended
Big Lshap room and bar +beer garden. High ceilings .bright and light. 6 ales on all good. Good service.
Nice building, good friendly staff with decent chat. Plenty of seats, didn't have to wait long to be served. Had to put jacket on as place was freezing.
Delivered something to Greenock late one evening, then called in here as it guarantees to let you order food until 11pm, which is great and better than all the other pubs. Ordered up an all-day tasty brunch and an equally tasty and reasonably priced dessert of 4 scoops of ice-cream, banana and chocolate sauce for £3.65 dessert price only. Enjoyed my food in this big and relaxed place, with attentive and friendly staff, that was my first time visiting and won't be the last.
Great, wee pub, popular as quite cheap and plenty seats to choose from. Also has a seating area at back /side, if there are smokers in your group. Always busy and has good food offers on. Also can get food delivered to table, if you order on the app. Disadvantage is the toilets are away at back of pub so good wee walk to get if you are seated at front end. Great staff, alway willing to help.
It's a Wetherspoons but it's OK. Went in for early meal before a meeting. Food was fine, very good value, was non-alcoholic but the range of beers looked decent. Staff were friendly, helpful and patient. Interior of the building looks authentically done.
Good pub food with a drink at sensible prices, also a nice atmosphere and you can pay at the bar with real money. Staff are exceptionally helpful keeping up the standards of the Witherspoons chain.
A place is just all Right. Not enough waiters to serve, tables stay dirty when customers leave, bathrooms are not very clean. You have to wait to be served. A lot of drunk locals at this pub, experience Scottish pub atmosphere here for yourself. Will definitely recommend having a chicken vandaloo curry here- was outstanding. Reasonable pricing for a dinner.
What you might expect from a Wetherspoons pub, but an essential for Greenock. Converted from the old main post office, a large, spacious interior making use of a building that might otherwise be redundant or even pulled down. Wetherspoons prices, so £1.49 for Belhaven Best and several other reasonably priced beers. Importantly, as far as I know, this is the only real ale pub in the town and worth supporting for that reason alone.
Not been since before pandemic except for once a few months ago. It was very disappointing both food and sticky table. However we went again last week and a big improvement. I actually spoke to the staff and it's a new Manager and it's much better. Food especially. Me and friends used to meet up for supper every 4 to 6 weeks. You can have a chat , can actually hear what's being said, something to eat and a glass of wine and exceptionally reasonable. Change of Manager has made a difference. We all miss the young female Manager who is now at Braehead. She was terrific!
