Laid back restaurant with something for everyone. Pizza is very tasty and they have a large cocktail menu. Servings are large! Service is wonderful and very kind. Next time I’ll need to leave room for dessert, it looked delicious.
The food & cocktails as always were good, but the last couple of times we've been in we have felt very rushed and unable to enjoy the meal properly as a result. There were 5 of us booked for 5:30pm and even at the time of booking we were told the table must be back no later than 7. We didn't order starters which was just as well as we never actually got food until we'd been there an hour, the order wasn't taken until we'd been seated for 45 mins. Since the time before we were reminded that we had to give the table back a couple of times, we rushed our food and then it transpired while waiting on the bill, that the next booking had cancelled and they asked us if we wanted another round of cocktails. We had places to be so we declined, but yeah thankfully none of us wanted desert as we wouldn't have had time to eat it in normal circumstances. I think if there are only a couple of you it would be fine but if you're looking to chat and enjoy some food and cocktails as an experience/evening out its likely not the place to go.
Very noisy and small but busy so you’ll need to book, especially for a weekend evening.nnThe food was not as good as we’d expected to be honest. The Scottish Stack was quite stodgy and not as flavoursome as we’d hoped for. Don’t get me wrong, it was by no means terrible, it was just not as delightful as we’d have felt the dish name suggested. The service was excellent so no problems there at all.nnIt’s small but busy so hard not to be noisy I guess and the prices are quite reasonable with a good choice of food so it’s ideal to book in as a group.
First time at Jam Jar today and will definitely be back, the menu has something for everyone, the service was amazing thank you to Taryn and the food was perfect!nnI got the half pizza half pasta, the Cajun chicken creamy pasta was my favourite that I’ve had so far! Really good portion sizes, and a fabulous dessert menu also! 10/10!
Food is always lovely at Jam Jar. Service staff are very friendly and always passing by to see if they can help with anything else, as well as have a quick chat.
