This is a phenomenal Indian Restaurant. The restaurant is large, spacious and super clean. Not only does this place look good inside but the food is nothing short of outstanding. Traditional Indian dishes and contemporary dishes are served here, the taste is amazing and the spices really bring these dishes to life, without burn for the sake of it. I visited this restaurant twice and would come back if I was in the area. Parking: There is a sizable car park here.
Jaipur Spice is an Indian restaurant located in York, North Yorkshire, England. The restaurant is known for its authentic Indian cuisine and its elegant, modern decor. unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. While the service was pleasant, the quality of the food was subpar. Every dish we ordered was extremely greasy, and it was clear that the chef had used excessive amounts of oil. The dishes were not only oily but also lacked the authentic flavors and ingredients that we expected. The oiliness of the food was particularly concerning, as it made the dishes almost inedible. It was disappointing to see that the kitchen did not take the time to prepare the dishes properly, resulting in an unpleasant and unhealthy dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a high-quality dining experience.
Had dinner here the other night, the food was delicious! Loads of choice and great food. The sundries were all really nice as well. And food was served quickly. Huge Naans, generous portions of curry. Only thing I'd say is its quite pricey and its worth sharing some bits as the portions are generous, and drink prices are very high, paid 4.90 for a single pint of coke! Defiantly would recommend and go back again. Parking on site is free after 6 so nice to have somewhere in York for a curry with easy access in the evening. Parking: Big but quite rough/uneven carpark with lots of space, free after 6. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading up to the door, and the main restaurant is all on one level, watch out for the carpark as it is a little uneven.
Excellent curry here before a football match. Biggest Indian restaurant I’ve ever been in!Recommended dishesChicken Tikka Madras Rice and Saag Paneer
Went here with my family for Christmas Day lunch, but for a curry. Absolutely delicious award winning food. Full of flavour and served in excellent portions. A fabulous way to spend Christmas Day lunchtime Food: 5/5
Really spacious clean and friendly place to eat good standard Indian restaurant fare. Reasonably priced and good friendly service. The chef took care to smoke the chicken dishes like Tikka and butter chicken. If anything the gravy could have been smoother but thats nitpicking. I'd go there again for sure. Vegetarian options: Very good saag paneer.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I didn't realise that it would be this big. I was part of a group of 20 that booked ahead for 9pm. It was quiet when we arrived, but apparently they get more later on. The food and service were excellent, all the staff were very friendly, and it was nice to have an area to sit down with a drink whilst waiting for others to arrive. I had a curry, rice and naan for about £19, which I think is fair, especially given the quality of food. There is also plenty of free parking after 6pm, which surprised me for this built up area. I would definitely go again, particularly for a large group booking.
An orange squash & water £4 50.!! was rather over the top when I normally get charged around £1 @ the most, in other places. Food far too hot to eat but maybe we should have had rice instead of the chips. Parking: Good to get parked okay
The outside looks a little like a convenience store but inside decor makes up for this. There is a shared parking area in front of the building. Check signage for pay and display. The inside is stylish and spacious, and can cater for any size party. The staff are friendly. Plenty to chose from on the menu and the prices are much the same as other Indian restaurants. Marked a 3 star only because at the end of the meal we were given a desert menu and then forgotten about, which we put down to the fact they had a party of 20 arrive at that time. Wouldn't have ordered a desert anyway so didn't spoil the evening. Still shouldn't have happened but understand why it did. Enjoyed the meals we did have.
First time having the Mani Puri fish curry and it was amazing. The three of us had fabulous meals. It was so nice eating in instead of take outFood: 5/5
