I have had both my white gold engagement and wedding rings re rhodium plated. I'm so pleased with them, they look like brand new. Very quick service, a week turnaround from drop off to pickup. I highly recommend J A Springall
Couldn’t recommend Paul enough. Took in a ring to be totally rebuilt which had huge sentimental value. He remade it into the ring I was hoping for and more. Absolutely beautiful results & for an extremely reasonable price compared to other jewellers. Thank you!
Terrible customer service!!!!!! I took my beautiful antique ring given as a birthday present to me from my husband, to this jewellers for resizing, as they state in the website they are specialists in restoring and handing antique rings. Unfortunately the first time it was re-sized I had to take it back a month later as it was too small so I paid again to have it made slightly larger. However, when I was wearing it out for dinner a few weeks later I noticed to my horror that the stone was missing from the setting! Luckily we managed to find it underneath the table in the restaurant. Then whilst getting a battery put in my watch in a Beaconsfield jewellers I showed them my ring and they looked at it through the eye glass and showed me that it had been reset on a tilt and this had damaged the claw case holding the stone. I have just taken my ring back to the jewellers in Burnham to look at it and the gentleman who owns the business said it would need re-tipping on the 4 corners to hold it in place and tried to charge me another £80!!! I explained to him that an independent jeweller had looked at the ring and said it had been damaged during re-sizing and showed him the tilt, but he was having none of it and told me it was nothing to do with resizing that it was because I must have knocked the ring when wearing it! Firstly I only wear it for special occasions and secondly a stone in a secure setting which it was when I gave it him before re-sizing should be able to take a couple of knocks here and there or we ladies would be losing stones from our rings all over the place! However I didn’t knock it out of its setting!! I honestly thought as a gesture of good will and customer service the gentleman should have offered to secure the stone back in its setting, but instead chose to tap me up for another £80!! I strongly advise against using their services for any similar requests. I’m now left very upset and with a ring I can’t wear...
Fab jewellers, cannot fault. From my experience the work they do is second to none! I've had a ring seal engraved - the detail was unbelievable! I've also had a cabachon ring resized here where a jewellers in Hatton garden said it couldn't be done! My most recent repair I brought in was for a mechanical watch where I had been told a spring had gone and it needed to go to a specialist. The chap here did a fantastic job, I'd highly recommend them without a doubt.
Took my watch in to have some metal links removed to better fit my wrist; the lady was very polite and wanted to make sure the watch fit was the best it could be; very quick as well and only charged me £5 which I thought was quite reasonable. My parents have also had jewellery altered here beforehand, and we would all definitely recommend J.A Springall.
Theyve done multiple jobs for myself and my family, but the last one they did for me was a lovely gold pendant engraved with a very detailed logo on the front and a message on the back, and I'm over the moon with it.
Just a great shop, lots of interesting stuff, get yourself down there if you can. They also do very nice engraving for a reasonable price.
Had 2 rings engaged spot on, very happy, friendly service very helpful go back again
