This little shop in Holmfirth is a bit of a blast from the past and always makes me think of the Two Ronnies 'fork handles' sketch. But it also fits it with the current trend of fixing and repairing things yourself. You can find all sorts of tools and fixings here, kitchen equipment, garden tools and ornaments. If you've got a DIY job to do around the house or garden it's worth stopping by. It's a great shop to have in the centre of Holmfirth
Great to see a traditional ironmongers and hardware store right in the middle of a town. Although limited to one customer at a time due to social distancing, the store owners were very helpful and happy to have a chat. Let's help keep these places going.
Best hardware shop around
I know that it's not the cheapest place for hardware, but unless you want to take a trip to Huddersfield this is a good local option for gizmos and fixings. Also, you'll be helping to support one of the few remaining traditional ironmongers around. The place oozes old fashioned charm, with quality kitchen and home items and personal service. It smells like a proper ironmongers too. That's important to me!
Years of knowledge and heritage, practical shop with a great range of products and don't have to buy 200 of something if you only need 3. Very helpful staff along with competitive pricing mean you can't really go wrong here.
