Traditional pub, with excellent beer. Clean and tidy. Haven't visited for a while and looks like they have new, staff completely changed. They were polite, but lacked atmosphere. Not very busy either for a Saturday night, such a shame. Will return, good to have a local you can walk too.

A friend and I visited The New Ivy House for a Bottomless Brunch after seeing a post about it on Instagram. We had the best time. The food was nice, the cocktails were great, and the service was brilliant. Big thanks to Sam and Kieston who looked after us, they really made our time there special. After our bottomless brunch finished we stayed a few more hours and had a few more drinks. Lovely place, and looking forward to coming back.
Used to use this a lot hadn't been for ages...don't think I'll be going again...my fault should have said something at the time..had Sunday lunch yesterday..meat wasnot worth eating...the dessert was cold although I specifically said "hot"please as in put it in microwave a few more seconds.....hardly anyone in the restaurant although bar was busy.....won't be frequenting this public house again...on a better note the staff....young girls were fabulous!!!credit to the place ...keep up the good work girls you deserve the tips ....
Lovely food and atmosphere, but unfortunately un experienced and rude staff. We went for bottomless brunch which is 90mins. We arrived at 3pm and was asked if we wanted a drink at 4.15pm, one of us finished our drink at 4.25pm and asked for another within our 90 mins. When we went to pay for the bill the drink that was ordered at 4.25pm was added onto the bill instead of put in the bottomless brunch deal. We questioned this to be told it was after our 90mins. Then to be told to just pay for the bill and not come back. We then spoke to the lady more to then be told that we should of been informed that we should have ordered our drinks 15 mins before the time ended. We was also told we can't swap soda for lemonade during our 90 mins, to then be told we can as soft drinks are included. We got alot of mixed signals and communication from different staff. To be told by the lady that took our bill that we were the 2nd bottomless brunch that the girls have done on the new menu so they were unaware of what they can and can't change. She kept talking about a staff chat - of which of course we see not involved in so we wouldn't know the information unless they told us at the start of our bottomless brunch. I think the way we were spoken to was not professional.
I visited yesterday with my wife and mother in law. The first visit since becoming a Viks Restaurant pub. We won't go again. Firstly there was no red wine. The manageres in the restaurant thought they had just one glass but no bottles. A pub/restaurant with no red wine? The lasagne was poor, the chicken tagliatelle was tasteless and dry. My piri piri chicken was OK but the rice and chips arrived several minutes before the chicken. The chip fat also needed changing. Although they removed the tagliatelle off the bill the £22 bottle of prosecco was excessive. The only good part was the young waitress who did her best under difficult circumstances.
We recently booked our late Fathers funeral wake here. The room was lovely and private. Booking was easy, food was lovely and all the staff were very friendly. What more could you ask for. I would High recommend the New Ivy House .
This is a gorgeous local pub, offering fantastic food and drinks. Very welcoming and friendly. Would totally recommend a stop in here if you're in the area.

Omg, the food was awesome. A bit noisy when we were there as we sat next to a party of about 8 and the dining area is very small,apart from that the food was lovely real home made food.
