Islington Wharf is an iconic residential development which sits on the banks of Ashton Canal within the New Islington area. There are 200 apartments spread across two blocks. Most apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows offering some incredible views of the city centre and beyond. There are underground parking spaces and balconies with some apartments. For those that don’t have outside space, they can take advantage of the communal ‘secret roof garden’ which is the ideal space for residents to socialise and relax. Islington Wharf is a few minutes walk from New Islington Metrolink stop and is a 10 minute walk to Piccadilly train station offering fantastic transport links. The New Islington Marina is a great outdoor space to walk through and offers a range of independent cafes. Ancoats is a few minutes walk too offers even more independent restaurants, bars and public spaces to relax.
Don’t move in here. The heating and hot water costs are just made up and are extortionate! The building was also poorly built, with frequent issues leading to hot water outages and leaks.
Lovely little urban marina. Cafés and bars along the wharf. Open areas to sit with lots of picnic benches and tables. Also dog friendly as there are some open spaces for them to walk.
