I can't believe that Ffestininog shops closed down because it's a very nice town. There is so much to do there. Well, the Isallt guest house is a very nice place, free parking, The Gest Richard is a very welcoming person, he as a great on information around the district. His house is very good, nice warm rooms, very clean, is staff are very friendly and helpful, one thing is good he makes up a pack lunch to take out instead of the breakfast, which a lot people don't like the old type breakfast that where got it right .there's a train station just outside of the bottom of the garden.nI would like to say big thank you, Richard.nFrom Graham and Valerie.
Fabulous Guest house, We stayed in room 1, fantastic size, lovely comfy bed, spotlessly clean. Great host, very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.
Breakfast? A bag of yoghurt, a drink and a muffin does not make a breakfast. Fortunately there is a good cafe opposite. Otherwise a bit tired.
Due to a breakdown with our car, we ended up at Isallt Guest House last minute. We are very pleased with the B&B and the owners. The rooms were complete and spotlessly clean. Because our car was being repaired remotely, we were offered a ride to the garage by the owner. Super kind and we are very grateful! We received walking routes and a simple but excellent breakfast. There was also an option to order lunch the day before for a very affordable amount. We are also very excited about the possibility of Gluten-free options as my friend has a gluten allergy. All in all, we highly recommend Isallt Guest House!
Overall it's good value. Richard is extremely nice and helpful. The view and location is absolutely superb. Right next to the railway, in the centre of Blaenau ffestiniog next to all you need, surrounded by slate mountain range, and great views.nnIt's only let down is the general cleanliness of the rooms. Granted the beds and towels bathrooms are clean. However there is dust on skirtings, spiderwebs in places, and mould patches.nnIf you can tolerate the room, and balance it against the price and location which can't be beat. You will have an ok stay, the holiday visit should wash away any complaints you have against it's negatives.
