Former spoons run by The Crafty pub group, one of a few ex spoons they have taken over, zero investment in the building or tired interior, drinks are good value, which is their saving grace.
Been a couple of times recently and staff have been lovely and informative. The toilets are spotless and smell nice showing the dedication of that dedication. Reminds me of that old family pub feel from 20 years ago but cleaner
Good atmosphere, I liked the vintage aesthetics. No food served at venue.Service: 5/5
No food, but a really lovely ex-wetherspoon pub. Pool table, dart board and juke box makes it more of a local than it ever used to be. Bit of a hidden gem in Paignton I think, being off the high street right at the top of the town.Service: 5/5
Good deals on drinks, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Can't comment about food as I haven't eaten there. Decour is looking rather tired thoughService: 5/5
A great full-English breakfast, washed down with beer! ! Can't be bad!!!!! Service was maybe a little slow , but staff were pleasant and courteous .
Locals came first. We were ignored by staff if locals came in. Bar staff unfriendly! Unless a local. Rude. Would prefer to pay more for a drink and treated with respect! Bar staff swearing. A degrading place to be. Drunks swearing and unruly children riding around on scooters! Doesn't even deserve a 1 star!
The chef that was here today needs to go back to cooking school Decided to get the roast dinner but wish I didn't I should have. Stayed at home and. Cooked one myself Chicken was tough Mashed carrots was like water Only edible thing was the Yorkshire pudddinng In the photo one is the gravy and the other is Pepsi can you tell the difference?
Good, cheap pub. Old Wetherspoons bought over. Don't do food but have cobs and hot pies etc. Excellent beer and spirits choice and very welcoming as well as being dog friendly
Have used the pub on a few occasions but decided to eat here. The food was lovely but it took over 30 minutes arriving at our table and considering it was quite I had to go and ask how much longer it would be as we had drank the drink it came with. Finally arrived and was worth the wait.
