Very welcoming pub! Excellent prices for beer and food. Two meals for £10.99 off the classics menu and around £7.00 for a pint of Guinness and a gin and lemonade. I had pie peas and mash. Large pie , nice filling but nowhere near full of meat and the crust was a bit hard but very tasty, otherwise I would have given the review a 5.
Tasty plant based burger 'The Green one' not a huge amount of veggie options. Various promotions day to day. Nice family friend pub
Sadly just 1 chef and they are trying hard to recruit chefs kitchen waitresses and bar staff. Some food burnt and over cooked especially the gammon.Tomato soup lovely. Mushrooms lovely. Macaroni dry sauce. Good interior decor. Car parking. Disabled access and parking. I think once get staffing levels up it will be better.
Bit of a mix up with the staff bringing the wrong meal out , then one of us having to wait for their meal to be cooked again. The staff were great and apologetic and quickly corrected their error, even giving us extra chips and gravy for our daughter for free. Great choice on the menu , something for everyone at great value prices. Food was freshly cooked and piping hot Delicious to taste and went down a treat. Def worth a visit
Highly recommend the Korean BBQ Burger and Battered Halloumi! Not many desserts to choose from off the menu so just had starter and main. Would recommend this place.
Nice place to grab a bite to eat. Dog friendly. Ample free parking. We sat outside on a sunny day, a little windy at the front by the road but quiet enough to feel relaxed. Food is typical pub food, fast, cheap and cheerful. We took advantage of the two mains for £10.99 which was perfect sized for lunch.
Went for a meal with friends. Everything arrived hot and fresh, meals were delicious and prices reasonable. Staff were polite and helpful. Honestly just a lovely stress free afternoon I'd go again if I lived locally
Whilst the food was nice, every individual dish ordered by my party had something different missing, and plenty of dishes were unavailable to order. The portion sizes are also pretty small. To the point where a £9 dish came with 1 tiny chicken, 11 chips, and 1 onion ring.
Having visited this establishment I can only recommend you avoid at all cost. Having ordered the mixed grill my food arrived the only item on the plate that was warm was the fried egg none of the meat or accompanying sides had any heat at all. I sent the food back to the kitchen! It returned to my table within minutes exactly as sent back after been zapped in the microwave!!! I requested a replacement meal the food was taken away. 20 minutes later another plate of food arrived according to the staff member it was freshly cooked replacement. This was also lukewarm!! Minutes after another member of staff arrived with another plate of food saying this was the replacement! I tried that one! Guess what that was lukewarm I was very disappointed with the standard of food preparation and more disappointing was the cook’s ability to prepare food that was edible.
The food was hot and ok for what you pay. Front of house Staff not very customer friendly, the young lady that met us, was obrupt and sharp, didn't make us feel welcome, should have turned round and walked out. the place was very shabby, the table we sat at all varnish was work off, how they can sanitise bare wood of beyond me, won't be going back.
