Irby Mill
"First opened in 1980 our traditional sandstone pub is located on the site of a former wind mill and holds a lot of fascinating history. Today, you will find a warm cosy atmosphere with lots to offer from our extensive menu of home cooked, real pub food. As an award winning real ale pub, we pride ourselves on our fine selection of 8 carefully kept real ales. The beer garden is the perfect place to relax on a warm summer’s day with friends and family. We also welcome our four-legged friends in the beer garden and the bar area."

This was our first visit even after living nearby for many years. The food was delicious, my steak was cooked perfectly and my dad’s fish and chips were inhaled sharpish! Desserts were top notch too! Very friendly staff also. We will be back! A+Food: 5/5
Haven’t eaten at the Irby Mill for a number of of years regretfully. The wife’s away so had to go for it. Great beer choices varied enjoyed a peerless ale & Salopian beer. The food though was par excellence. Tender sumptuous steak & the garlic bread remains as succulent as ever. Delightful evening with helpful friendly staff well done
Just amazing, the Sausage platter is fantastic, a give meal and so well cooked, always needs extra gravy but it's gorgeous and a real comfort meal. Service is excellent and it's very comfortable especially not being rushed to leave. Love it here.Food: 5/5
Lovely little country pub. When doing a walk from Irby It's very handy stop with it being on a crossroads as it's on the route to Greasby, Roydon Park and Arrowe park. It's very cosy inside and with a log burner it's nice and warm on a Winters day. In the Summer it has a nice little beer garden if you want to sit outside. I have not eaten there recently but I know they have a good menu. Their range of real ales is normally excellent.
Only popped in for a half, a good selection of real ales, but seemed really nice and would go back to try the food. Was busy for. Wednesday afternoon which I think is only a good sign it must be good.
This place is a real gem. I always come here when visiting from Northern Ireland. Decent pricing, fantastic food and service. The Gardens are also excellent in good weather too. Keep up the good work and I'll see you again next time I'm over :-
Really good home cooked independent food, and a nice independent pub. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice and warm. However…. That is supposed to be blue cheese sauce with the burger. It looks and tasted like pepper corn. I raised this and was told no its definitely blue cheese. So either really bad sauce or a forgetful chef. It definitely had no cheese in. Other than that I can’t fault, the food was so good and staff really welcoming
BEST ROAST DINER EVER!!! Wow what a roast dinner that was. I am a roast dinner snob and have been round most of the places on the Wirral and I can hand on heart say that was the most delicious roast dinner I’ve had in a while. The side plates were incredible great variety of choices services was amazing Definitely 5 star from em. We will definitely be back next Sunday Thank you Irby mill. You’ve smashed it !!!
A great meal in a great pub. Good choice of real ales sadly I was driving!. Main bar was packed to the rafters, but the restaurant section was very quiet - unusually so, according to the staff. Not eaay to get to except by car, but I will definitely be back for some more of that cracking grub.Food: 4/5
Great pub with an excellent atmosphere and wonderful selection of local real ales. We visited this lovely pub on a Tuesday evening for a few drinks and a meal. Surprised how busy the pub and dining room was for a Tuesday - great atmosphere though! Excellent service from the waiting staff, steak and fish and chips were super tasty and came quickly too, the chips with the fish were a little over cooked for my dads liking :-
