From the Amulance service that assessed me and took me to A&E to all the great staff that cared for me and dealt with my sciatic nerve pain on the 5/5/24, I am extremely grateful. You were all so caring and professional. Keep up the great work. Paul and Debra Mead.
My mum went to a&e after having been sent by NHS 111 for chemical poison. Although it was a 5 hour wait which is expected - there are always a lot of people who need urgent help. My mum was treated with great care and had a full range of tests as directed by the doctors to ensure that serious damage had been ruled out. All the staff were very friendly and caring and kind. Well done and a big thank you. I feel it's important to celebrate and appreciate your hard work and commitment to such a stressful environment yet not losing sight of the care of the patient. Thank you
After reading a few bad reviews i thought i would add details of my last experience May 2023.. Having a very swollen blistered leg i was seen very quickly on a sunday evening by a lovely triage nurse who done the necessary tests, i waited another 15mins when a nurse derected me to another facility within the hospital for an assessment by a doctor very quickly again who advised me on what to do & the correct medication was given. In all the care i received in this dillema was extremely good.
Polite helpful and kind staff throughout our time in accident department and urgent treatment centre this evening. Thank you for putting my daughter at ease. 2 hours from arrival to discharge, including X-ray. Very impressive. Great service.
Don't even bother using the walk-in service after 7pm. 12 hour wait to see a doctor, 14 until discharge, with the doctors seeing like 5-6 people total from the walk-ins between 1:30 and 6am. Receptionist was very nice, but unable to give accurate wait times and seemingly paid to convince people to stick around - when in reality there was no hope of service for the next 7 hours.nnStill, staff were polite and helpful, and after the morning shift arrived things started moving a little quicker. Shame about everything else.nnNo chargers or plug sockets bar one half way up the wall under the TV. Pretty cold - bring a blanket.nIf it's for a walk in, get some sleep and go to a&e in the morning.nThe under 18s walk-ins do keep seeing people overnight though I've heard.
