The place is gorgeous, the food court looks like a giant ship with a twinkling starry sky ceiling. I would say that the food court is quite pricey for buying food but there is a chip shop there that's reasonable for their chips and fish but I would go for a smaller portion and get take out instead of sitting in because you get a bigger portion. Loads and loads of shops, definitely the biggest shopping centre I have ever been to. The decor of the shopping centre is Egyptian style it looks really cool. I would definitely make a point of going there when I'm down in Manchester again or just go to Manchester to go to the shopping centre.

Seated and starter and drink arrived in good time. Took over 1/2 hour for empty starter dish to be removed from my table and did not get acknowledge for another drink??. Lost appetite and left without eating mains as not arrived too. Appreciate busy and slim on staff but not still acceptable. Staff were apologetic.

Used to be one of my favourite places to go but the whole centre is just way too hot now I feel ill if I'm in for too long. When it had the water features and trees the atmosphere was lovely and the air was cool but now it's horrible. It needs changing. Also the seats dotted around the centre need to be not so low, to go there with mobility problems is an issue as the seats are way too low to get up and down on. Such a shame.

I love visiting the Metrocentre when I travel to Gateshead. Its the biggest Mall I've ever been in! So many of my favourite shops are in here, and so many choices. Even the shops have more choice of options that my local branches. Will always visit.

Love this place. Best place to shop eat drink and a lot more. My visits are few and far between I always try to make time to visit as has new restaurants and shops every time I visit with plenty of parking and great transport links (train or bus) it's a must to visit for any visitors to the tyne and wear area and beyond.
