Car needed MOTing at very short notice, this was the only place I could get it in. Failed on both track rod end ball joints, fair enough, needed sorting. However, charged me £345 for the job. Spoke to my brother in law who's been a mechanic for years, he reckoned that the job could have been done for about £125. Don't get me wrong, I know that certain places will cost a bit more, but I think a difference of £220 is ridiculous. Would have got another opinion before sorting it, but MOT is due tomorrow so had no choice. Won't be going back.
Despite some of the negative reviews, my experience here as being nothing short of excellent. Always get my vehicle serviced and maintained here, they may not the the cheapest prices, but they provide a good service and normally will take a look at something for you if they're not too busy, without a fee.
My girlfriend took her Toyota Yaris to In & Out Wigan 2 months ago for an MOT and service. She was told that new brake discs and pads were needed, at a cost of over £700. However, the car was passed on its MOT with no advisories. When she questioned why this was the case, this was met with a shrug. She opted not to go ahead straight away with this and to go away and think about booking it in to be done later. We took the car to a reputable garage and had the brake discs and pads inspected and found that there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, and that if there had been then the MOT should have had an advisory note or a fail. Judging by other reviews, this seems to be a common theme with In & Out, particularly with unaccompanied females. I definitely wouldn’t recommend using them.
If you want your car to pass its MOT book in here! Staff very friendly! I would recommend getting a service before your MOT to highlight any problems your car may have. Many garages love to find issues during an MOT and over charge you to fix them!
Be careful with MOT there. Looks like they targeting womens on unnecessary repairs. They failed mot on our van with few major issues and big list of advisors and want to book repairs with them. When my wife refuse and took our van to our mechanic he say the van is fine and someone want to scam her. We pass mot in different garage with only few advisories. Very very bad to treat womens like that. Never again in this place.
I urgently needed my spare tyre changing last minute the day before Christmas eve and by a miracle in and out said they were able to change it. Syd's customer service was excellent and i would highly recommend this company. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. Your generosity is truly appreciated
Wouldn't use if they were the last garage in Wigan. Booked to have 4 tyres fitted at this place through Blackcircles, after 3 days of booking having paid nearly £600 to have the tyres fitted, less than 24 hours before the tyres were due to be fitted I got an email from Blackcircles saying the garage had cancelled the appointment and the coukd no longer fit the tyres. No explanation, jyst they couldn't do it. Totally unreliable, and not trustworthy. Would not recommend at all. Only give 1 star asi can't give any less.
Stay well clear from here .seem to target woman and over charge on faults on vehicle when nothing wrong in first place .my wife went here .just for front drivers suspension spring.they fitted wrong part from total opposite vehicle and after a week had to take back due to ball joint not fitted properly. Took to another garage for second opinion and was told been robbed. Even told that they do other side fir £200 .when took to other garage for second option. They said it was perfectly fine. I've contacted trading standards now as this garage seems to rip so many people off and over charge for jobs when there is no fault in first place . Stay well clear. Not worth the time .so unprofessional and customer service at a Nil . Nit just my review. Read others about this poor quality place .negative review and advice many Stay away .shamefull place
5 Star Service as always! Called in this morning panicking coz I had a slow puncture and although very busy the guys sorted me out within half hour! Defo living up to the name ‘INnOUT’ Thanks again guys for top service at reasonable rates . Best regards Jackie
Lads got the air con re-gas done quickly & now I’ve got great ice cold air con again. Seem fairly priced in comparison to other places in the area.
