The restaurant looks pretty, starters are good but pizza looks like the frozen one you can get at supermarket, which is sad. I would encourage the owner to invest money for a real pizza maker and better ingredients, the tomato sauce with prawns was really tasty, the one on pizza not very, as well the mozzarella was literally water.
Kind staff and lovely restaurant. However, the food was below average unfortunately.. we ordered: Petto di Pollo con Crema ai Funghi, chicken was dry and used canned mushrooms.. plain flavour Milanese Al Pollo was okay.. lots of seasoning needed but you would taste that chicken was old. Spaghetti Al Ragu Bolognese.. we couldn't eat the dish So.. If you want to pay premium prices for below average food then this is your go-to place
Delicious fresh pasta, lovely friendly staff. We will be back!
We recently visited il gusto as the menu looked very good and with a good variety . We asked for pizza they informed us they had no pizzas Then asked for garlic bread but unfortunately they had none So we asked for bruschetta what we got was KINGSMILL BREAD WITH GARLIC COOKING OIL ON and was not very good They had no gnocchi either and the pasta had no flavour to it The mojito was just mint and lime with soda water wasnt very good . The card machine wasnt working luckily we bought cash They also added themselves a tip at the end which we did not pay.
We booked to eat here as the reviews were so good but our experience was awful. From the moment we walked in the Manager was hostile. "Have you booked? shouted from one end of the restaurant to the other, when served our food was lukewarm, the plates were cold and we were stared at whilst eating, no other customers in the place on a Friday at 7pm. Not a surprise given the poor customer service and food. I would not recommend at all
I was standing outside looking at the menu as I had time to kill & was hungry. I'm glad the manager came out to me as I couldn't understand all the Italian, which he explained to me. I asked what he would recommend for a pescaetarian/veggie/vegan. Not much for vegans unfortunately but he chose for me a really delicious pasta meal I opted for a Rosė, the best I've tasted, I might add. Then I had my first Tiramisu which was like a light chocolate trifle, finishing with an espresso which I don't usually drink but I'm more into black coffee these days. Then I had a surprise ... Limoncello - if you like lemons ... well ... "smooth & sweet, with an intense lemon flavour." OMW!!! DEL!
Pasta and pizza are fantastic I never found in London the real Italian kitchen like il gusto . Everything was amazing I was feel like in Italy thanks so much
£3.50 for 125ml coke LOL. NO parmesan cheese offered for pasta LOL. I asked for it, gave me some grated mozzarella LOL We only came here cos Casa Mia over the road was undergoing a renovation.
Had dinner tonight with family and the team were lovely. Definitely will return back next time. I strongly recommend the restaurant.
