Amazing record shop within the Oasis market place. My boyfriend popped in after work and came home with a small haul, so when we were back in Birmingham together he said we had to go and I'm glad we did - perfect way to spend a Saturday morning digging in crates. The owner has a very varied selection modern, classics, rare and seemingly seems to know where everything is too! He's very friendly and knows exactly what to recommend. We both left with a couple records each, some of which we had been trying to find and some which we didn't know we wanted until we found - will make sure we're back soon!

One of the best record shops in the country not just Birmingham. Rich is an encyclopaedia of music knowledge who could easily have a mastermind specialist subject in hardcore especially.  Rich the owner has been my go to for recommendations for 20 years sorry to make you feel old mate!, and is always a friendly face and ear to anyone who drops in.

I wouldn’t want to get my vinyls from anywhere else. Always has a great selection of records including limited editions.  Rich is very knowledgeable on his music and has an insane memory on where all the records are so if you get stuck, just ask and he’ll pull it out of nowhere as if from his magic hat.

Perfect little record alcove. While the space is relatively small, the collection is comprehensive. Big shout out to the owner who knew his inventory like the back of his hand; location in the shop, stock levels, when more was due in, etc. I purchased a copy of CMAT's first album. It's clear that this chap is enthusiastic about supporting artists and maintaining a one-stop-shop for all our vinyl needs. Brilliant!

My kind of shop. Excellent variety of stock and was able to find albums I have been after for a while. Not only is the owner very helpful with finding things and his great knowledge of music, he is also super friendly and ended up missing my train cause I was enjoying talking to him.

Easily my favourite record store Ive been to. Rich is a genuine treasure and a wonderful chat. Has also put me onto some great music over the years. Great selection and atmosphere. Easy recommend for those looking for some punk/metal records

My go-to record shop in Birmingham. It has all you want from a brick and mortar shop. Vast variety of new records from mainstream pop, rock, alternative, indie, punk, metal, and hip-hop. There are some rare-finds as well. Prices are always great. Rich, the owner, is very friendly and gives excellent recommendations for hidden gems ones you wouldn't find from algorithms.

Ignite records is my favourite record store. I'm from Italy, I go to Birmingham every year for work and every time I go to Ignite. The owner is very friendly and always recommends to me beautiful records. His shop is well stocked indie rock, metal, pop, folk rock, hardcore, hip hop and also "tough to find” records. Prices are excellent. Go there. I can't wait to go back and I was there a week ago...

Been here  a few times would like to have been more often but distance and finances dictate and can say it is a cracking shop. The owner is really friendly and knowledgeable. It is easy to get carried away as the stock he carries is first class. I look for mainly hard rock/metal and the choice is excellent here. Took a punt on one of his recommendations and found a favourite new band in Monolord. Can't wait to visit again

The best record store in Birmingham by a mile. Rich is knowledgeable and passionate and always has a recommendation or two and his hit rate is around 100% as he’s taken the time to get to know what I like over the years, his own label is also full of little gems. Can’t fault Rich or ignite long may he and ignite reign over Birmingham’s music store scene.
