Great and friendly staff members, especially the fantastic duo Mother and daughter. Both would make great store managers. All the staff here, apart from the manager, are excellent at their jobs and treat their customers with respect at all times. The less said about the manager, the better.
Forget the notion of common courtesy if you shop here. The security man in particular seems to run the shop floor. Barks out instructions to store assistants and customers alike. He has an aggressive nature but is also deeply suspicious of every shopper walking in. On more than one occasion, I felt under pressure from him as I could tell he was following me! Not a pleasant place to shop but the prices and the produce are attractive. If they weren’t, I would never darken their doors.
If I could put 0 I would. Security man arrogant and shouthing his head off as I was working. Never seeing anything like that. He was interested in going out of the shop to tell people not to use their phones on street. He told me to get out?????? I was actually working. I hope CEO will do something about this AGGRESIVE behaviour. I know the name so please do something about it.I will report it to the police. PLEASE DON"T GO
Deaf discrimination and an awful experience this evening. I was using the self-checkout and was shouted at by the woman working there, accusing me of not using the checkout properly and placing scanned items in the incorrect area. I am deaf and use hearing aids; these still do not correct my hearing well and I could not hear her and she intimidated and embarrassed me in front of a queue of customers before accepting it was a till error. I was left shaking after the experience and no apology was offered, just further ridicule. As a deaf person, I have never had an experience like this in a supermarket and I am utterly shocked. I will be complaining to management.
Today i witnessed the security guard being extremely demeaning and condescending when a girl didn’t put her barely wet umbrella in her bag, after she said she would put it in her bag he proceeded to say malicious things publicly and loudly. This is disgraceful behaviour from iceland and i expect better. Are these mean people representing your work ?!
At the checkout the scanner wouldn't scan my voucher code. The cashier called someone else and he wasn't any help, did less then she did, scanned the code but didn't enter it in or try anything else when i asked he was dismissive, unapologetic and seemed in a hurry to leave. Very rude. I won't be shopping here agian As a supermarket, Iceland needs to catch up electronically, still living in the past, with a much needed face-lift.
Fun supermarket to shop cheap food and kitchen stuff! Great selection as well for quick meals.
A really good place to buy locally made biscuits, cookies, chocolates, sweets. There are many deals ,3for £3, etc.. plenty of £1.25 items. Cheap local honey. Good for backpackers and travellers on a budget.
Iceland supermarket offers a fantastic shopping experience with great variety and affordable prices. The quality of their products is impressive, and their customer service is top-notch. Highly recommended for a convenient and budget-friendly grocery shopping
This Iceland is clean, always fully stocked, and the staff are always cheerful and helpful. The downside is the till situation. There is not enough space to manoeuvre between the self checkouts and the face to face cashier, but overall, it is a good store. Also, a shout out to the friendly African security guard, lol
