I went to Ian last year after a minor car accident neck pain and returned recently after twisting my ankle. Ian has really helped with both injuries, always being friendly and courteous, giving me advice on aftercare and exercises to do at home. I am very grateful for how much better I now feel and would highly recommend using his services.
I had a hip injury in late 2014, a Drs referral for physio would have taken over 3 months for an appointment. A friend recommended Ian, I was able to make an appointment very quickly, he diagnosed a labral tear in our first session. He wrote a letter of recommendation to my Dr for a MRI which initially they refused to do, enabling me to see an orthopedic surgeon. Ian helped me to manage the injury, the pain I was in, and in the 18 months I waited for surgery helped me to prepare safely for surgery and helped me recover after with a varied, thoughtful and bespoke program of activities/excercise and stretches. I am very grateful to him as I can now function much better than I thought I would be able to. He has also helped my son cope with a knee condition. Ian is quiet, calm and friendly in his approach and always provides a considered response Ian would be my first port of call for physio advice in Hereford.
I was referred to see Ian following a car accident as a nonfault driver. Ian was effective in his treatment plan, consisting of both massage and stretches. He has a very easy going and gentle approach, making recovery a pleasant process to go through. He taught me the advantages of soft tissue massage and taught me an array of different stretches for my problem areas, namely neck and upper back. Because I could feel the benefit of these stretches immediately it was easy to pop them into my daily routine. I was pleasantly surprised he'd taught me some new material, as an avid yogi I know a few stretches or two. Each week he listened to me and tailored his services to suit. It was an absolute pleasure to receive physio from Ian and I really valued our sessions, even driving from Bristol to Hereford just to meet them. I'd recommend Ian to anybody needing physiotherapy, he definitely knows his stuff and empowers you to take care of yourself by teaching ways to self-care for your body. Cheers boy
After an injury at work and initial Physio I felt that I needed some additional Physio on my ankle. After consulting my Doctor I was privately referred to Ian. On all occasions trying to book in for appointment have been troublesome and has required regular chasing on my part having left numorous voicemails and texts. After taking a break due to an un-related illness and returning to Ian for treatment as he knew my case I was worried that he was taking the initial patient information again, where is my personal information being stored? And why has he not reviewed this for a returning patient? Most recently I had authorisation for a treatment plan with Ian from my insurers and can not receive any reply to my attempts to book in for these paid sessions. The webpage that he uses states his team of highly qualified physiotherapists have vast experience in the assessment, diagnosis and effective treatment of musculoskeletal injury for patients of all ages and levels of fitness. Yet Ian works alone and there is no team of Physio's at the centre as stated. What makes this worse is that he is receiving private referrals - I would NOT recommend his services and can highlight how disappointed I have been in the service afforded to me.
