As a number of other reviewers have reported here, we have also had a bad experience with our purchase of a Hypnos wool medium king size mattress at a cost of around £1,500. The retailer who I have purchased furniture from before, on this occasion bluffed their way through my request for the same mattress as used in Premier Inns. As others have reported the store and Hypnos themselves sent two assessors with pieces of string to lie across the bed whilst taking photo's, that were supposed to prove that the mattress was as it should be. Of course this are not going to sink in without someone lying on it and photo's will not show lumps of wool under the fabric or bunching up in the central, top and bottom sections! I will be pursuing this further and will not let it drop, after all I will have to sleep on it for the next 10 years otherwise as my aches and pains deteriorate further! I cannot afford to pay this kind of money for another mattress. No advice has been forthcoming either as to what might improve the problem, I guess because that would be admitting fault.
Bought mattress through Premier Inn website link in 2016. Mattress failed in 2020 and got replacement under guarantee. Can you believe replacement failed again after 4 years. Guarantee expired. I did email company asking how long mattress should have lasted but my enquiry ignored. I now need to buy a new mattress and the LAST place I will go to is HYPNOS!
I ordered a firm Wool 6 mattress from an approved retailer. When I received the mattress I noticed that it was much softer than the one in the showroom. I reported this to Hypnos but they told me to go back to the retailer. The retailer sent an auditor twice and both times they said there was no defect with the mattress. I then went back to Hypnos to ask if they would help with this situation since I had spend £2K on this mattress. They have not responded to 5 of my emails and now I’m left with back pain and an awful mattress ! Please think carefully before you approach a Hypnos mattress.
We could only make a Saturday morning and when we arrived it was busy. We waited our turn to speak to the advisor and it was well worth the wait. She was excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. Ordered a new Hypnos mattress and can't wait!
I bought a Hypnos pocket sprung wool orthos elite double mattress from My Next Mattress in March 2022. Excellent product. Quality components and natural fillings. Firm but comfortable with plenty of support. Turnable so I can use both sides. Also very good value for money. Worth very penny I spent.
