Incredibly rude manager (head waitress in the cafe) 1pm 4 November 2017. I have never experienced such poor attitude and service in a coffee shop. My cycling friends and I entered the cafe, and were immediately made to feel unwelcome. She was very unfriendly when she took our order comprising a long black, flat white and a macchiato. When our order arrived I noticed two of the drinks were wrong - the long black became a shot of double espresso and the macchiato a latte. When I pointed this out to her, she was adamant that a latte was the same thing as macchiato and when I kindly assured her it wasn't, she said 'fine have it your way' and continued to be rude and say horrible things about me to her colleague as I went to sit back down. I never got my macchiato. The only silver lining to this horrible experience was the lovely younger waitress who I felt sorry for. All I can say is being rude to a group of friendly cyclists is commercially short sighted and it's such a shame that a cafe in such lovely spot suffers from poor customer service.
