We stayed at The Marsh for a couple of weeks in January whilst waiting for our house move to go through. Allowing us to get to know the area before relocating. Huw was extremely kind and accommodating and was a font of local knowledge. The site itself is no-frills, clean, tidy and quiet. There are currently a handful of spacious hardstanding EHU pitches, with a fabulous view over the pond and tidal marsh. Well equipped with everything you need; EHU, shower, toilet, water, CDP, dog walk and the good company of cows, sheep and chickens who lay the most beautiful golden yolk eggs, but you have to speak to them every day and ask nicely. There are lovely walks around the local countryside and several directly accessible from the campsite. The village is a short 4-minute drive away and is equipped with everything you need. Our girls enjoyed feeding the livestock with Huw and had fun helping set out his decoy ducks and geese on the marsh. They were lucky enough to spot a kingfisher and we also saw lots of birds of prey, including regular visits from the barn owl. We sadly didn't get to see the otters playing in the river but will be back to hunt for them again. There is a pylon on site but it didn't interfere with phone or TV reception. The Marsh is a lovely little site with plans for more amenities over the coming months. A real gem!
