Unfortunately, another no for London's Chinese Restaurant. We got a bit excited by the mixed reviews, so we decided to take the drive and visit it. The restaurant, if I can call it like this, was full of packaging for delivery, dirty dusted materials, packed tables and chaird, you could see that they don't have many clients there, but we decided to givw it a go as there were other people in the restaurant and the food was not looking bad at all. The first thing I noticed was how many deliveries they are processing. We never saw a restaurant to have so many deliveries, probably every 3..5 minutes a bunch of people from delivero, uber eats etc. will cross the door and will ask for their bag....quite promising, right?! Well, our food was not bad, but not great, the soup was just ok, the chow mein was burnt, not much flavour, the portions were also quite small for the price you pay. Overall, it's just ok. If you are local probably is ok to come to eat, but for us, the drive was not worthy... however, give them a try. The food was not bad for a takeaway.
Hungs used to be our favourite Chinese and we were regular customers. Generally good food nothing extraordinary but homely and consistent, reliable service and would always come hot. I’m not here to slate their food, I’ve given them a one star for their obscene price hike they’ve put in place recently. £14 for standard mains, £10 fried rice or steamed pak Choi, £7 plain rice… it’s ridiculous and by no stretch of the imagination is the quality of the food worth that price tag. I’d suggest giving it a miss and shopping around as there’s plenty of decent Chinese that are just as good for significantly less. Come back and give it a go when/if they drop their prices back to a reasonable level.
Used to come here a lot back in the day... I ordered this evening and the food was awful. £6 for Seaweed that tasted like tissue paper no taste whatsoever. Egg fried rice was bland and salt and pepper squid was over saturated with salt. Spending £32 for a takeaway for 1 you expect it to be satisfying, it was not! Very disappointed!!!Food: 1/5
I cannot recommend Hung's Restaurant highly enough. If you're looking for exceptional Chinese food, friendly service, and a fantastic atmosphere, this is the place to be. Whether you're craving your favorite Chinese dish or looking to try something new, Hung's Restaurant will exceed your expectations. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant.
Excellent food equal if not better than the Chinese restaurants in the West end. Staff and manager are friendly and service is efficient. If you are in the mood for Chinese food and are in the area you cannot do better.
Best Chinese takeaway in Streatham by far. I ordered the tofu noodles with spring onion and ginger sauce. It tasted really delicious and I’m delighted to have eaten food that is full of luxury and love. Thanks for the dinner. Definitely recommend!
There size & the food was terrible!!!! I have never seen a special friend rice in this small container which I usually share with a minimum of 2 family members!!! It was just white and horrid so I had to add soy sauce to give flavour. Just about chicken and egg 4 prawns & 3 pork pieces! The sweet abs sour prawns was disgusting !!!! TOOO much vinegar my mouth is sore. But it was fresh hence why I put a tick. Really deserve a feedback!!! THE WORST
I always order but tonight the food was disgusting the special fried rice tasted like water and was tasteless. Should have ordered plain boiled rice. The chicken in lemon sauce wasn't brilliant either. I will not be ordering from here again.Food: 1/5
Ordered duck with vegetable fried rice, sweet and sour chicken. Duck really was awful and smelt really bad half way eating my meal, chicken was hard and dry, this was a big let down, use to be a decent restaurant to eat from, I feel sick from the smell of the duck, I hope I don't have food poison or anything else, I'm so disappointed!! Rice was okay. How disgusting and spent over £35............
Asked for a take away vegetable Singapore rice got home it was Singapore low quality noodles how you can get ONE dish wrong I don’t know, a sprinkle of vegetables which were burnt and they had the audacity to charge £9! I’m a taxi driver and eat from a lot of different Chinese takeaways all over London, this one rates way down the list. I normally rate out of 10 but if you get the order wrong it’s definitely a 0
