Story

Hugh Strain & Son was Established in 1963 in the village of Barrhill with the aim of providing highly skilled and professional joinery services for local home owners and businesses alike.

53 years later, and Hugh Strain & Son Ltd are now one of the most well renowned and established companies in the whole of Ayrshire.
Over the years, the business has grown from strength to strength allowing us to become a multi-trade company, offering you extensive range of services including house extensions, home renovations, garage conversions, loft conversions, kitchens, conservatories and bathrooms. We also co-ordinate all electric, plumbing and joinery work to ensure each job is completed simultaneously.

With a lot of our work coming from repeat clients and word of mouth, we can ensure that all our work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
