Hua Run Chinese Supermarket

Long-time loyal customer. For any ingredient common in Chinese cooking all provinces, I've never not found what I'm looking for*. Good selection of fresh, frozen and pantry items, and all of it cheaper than other supermarkets in the area. Lots of Japanese and Korean stuff too but for these, if you don't find it here, try across the road. [*this applies to pantry - varies for fresh for obvious reasons]. Funny that a previous review said they don't have crispy chilli oil - they have every variety of Lao Gan Ma?! and others too, but why bother

Good range of goods. The shopkeeper is always friendly and smiley. Every time I visit she lights up my day, reminds me of my mama Some old review here said the staff was rude, maybe their English isn't so great, but I truly believe they try their best to help customers. I had poor xperience at other Chinese store on Holloway road and have been coming here since!

Was 2nd time in the shop on 14.12.2021 just to buy a packet of fishballs with taro see attached photo, love that stuff especially when extremely lightly fried. The staff are helpful who are from China, I believe. They do speak enough english to help with the business and as long as you are patient with them. I took pictures of the stuff I had bought previously and showed them .. wallah! they showed me exactly where each item .. how's that. Prices are not overly pricy given that they are only a mini chinese supermarket. Few buses stops opposite the shop on Seven Sisters Road, one way street.

Fantastic Chinese supermarket. They have everything you need if you love oriental food. I get my soy wasabi and pickled ginger here. My noodels and rice and quality fresh pak choi. Friendly people run this place. I love it and recommend it to anyone. Also prices are very reasonable .. I would happily make this my one and only shop!

The shopkeepers were very helpful & respectful. They assisted me willing when I asked. The cashier was especially kind, she thanked me several times for coming to shop with them. I look forward to shopping with them again.

The products sold here would be hard to find anywhere else and are of high quality but the service in this store is far from good. I'm not sure if I came on a bad day or something but they were not happy to see me in there. I came to buy two packs of ramen noodles and wanted to pay with card but this seem need to be one of the few stopped without a card reader.

Small shop, but very well stocked and run by super friendly owners. Fresh veg and great choice of sauces and other staples. Highly recommended.

Quaint and well stocked Chinese supermarket with a superb range of noodle flavours, at very reasonable prices. It has taken 4-5 visits to get a smile from the lady serving but finally she smiled . Hopefully they get a card machine soon as they only accept cash.

Great little Chinese supermarket - has all the essentials including fresh veg Chinese cabbage, ginger root etc and staff are very helpful. Quite small so social distancing difficult - bring a mask to wear. Cash only but there's a cashpoint at the Post Office next door.

Decent selection of oriental condiments, rice, noodles and fresh veg. You may not find it if you are looking for a very specific brand of condiment, but it's quite enough for every day grocery.
