Twice now I've gone in and they're selling food that is expired, not just a few days expired but YEARS OLD or dairy products that have expired days prior super gross and overpriced
Keeps increasing the price of bus tickets every time I go to buy some. Originally paid 13.25. Next day they wanted to charge 25 cents for using debit. Now today when I went in, they tried to charge me 13.75 for bus tickets. Do not go here. They scam people that come in regularly. Guy proceeded to yell at me while I left cause I told him he was overcharging me, and complained "why would I charge you an extra 25 cents." well you did. The prices for bus tickets are posted right on London's website. So you can see what they are supposed to cost.
The owner Mike is the nicest man. We've been going there for years and he's carried items in the store just for us. If he hasn't seen me in a while he's so happy to see me and greets me with a huge smile, and he genuinely cares about us and all his customers. I see others complaining about prices/expired stuff. The prices are the same aa any variety store- we're paying extra for the convenience of them being open late etc Downtown rent is not cheap. If i've had a problem with anything which has been maybe 3 times in 15+ years, it was exchanged or refunded with an apology. One of the coolest things about this store is something most people miss. There is beautiful art outside the back entrance. I don't know the artist's name but I love this colorful nook hidden away downtown.
Ahhhhhh, If I could rate this place "11 's"-- TRUST ME, I WOULD! This store, the owner Mike AND all of his employees do one heck of a good job, so0o0o good that this store has me & my uncle spending hundreds of dollars a week bcuz we'd rather go here than a regular grocery store straight up! GREAT service, common courtesy/quality, respect, kindness & a smile untop of fantastic merchandise goes a LONG WAY! Keep up the good work Mike & the "FRESH & FAST FOOD MART" cuz y'all truly are the neighborhoods BEST convenience store!
The store has all the basics. The prices are on par with other convenience stores. The staff are very helpful and it's appreciated, I'm disabled and require assistance. The staff are polite, patient and friendly. I highly recommend this store.
I was in your store tonight to buy a lotto ticket. I was a block and half away on Richmond when I heard someone calling me sir. I turn around and it was the young man from the store handing me my phone. I didn’t realize I forgot it in the store.. Bless this young man, and again. THANK YOU! There are still good people in this world.
Convenient and courteous service.. I live between two variety stores on Richmond and this is the one I prefer to go to because the staff are pleasant to deal with and I have been shopping there for four years now and have yet to have a negative experience. Even forgot my milk the other day and had the owner holler after me on Richmond as I was almost home with my bags, never heard him so I ended up having to go back and pick it up but I thought that was kind of cool. Good prices, great service, friendly staff, great store. Cheers!
People are nice but the prices are absurd. And one time I asked a guy how much a case of water was said he didn't know and then just said its ×what ever the price of z single bottle is which would make a 12 pack of water bottles at this store about 18$ I told him that's crazy.
They are charging beyond the price of the product and claiming to be selling cheapest product. Avoid if you are new to the locality.
Watch the dates on things before you blindly buy them there. Got home with a loaf of bread that was 4 days past its' best before date. Apparently I wasn't thinking at the time, just blindly bought the stuff cuz I needed it for sandwiches, and didn't see the BB date until I got it home :
