Very good bank in general as they have one of the lowest rates in mortgages and good and secure online banking platform. It is disappointing to see that there are no more counter services in Stafford which could be handy in occasions. I had to go to the branch in Stoke to withdrawn £2k that I needed to pay a craftsman in cash.
Counter services in Stafford have now been totally withdrawn. Staff apparently unable to increase my daily limit above £1,000 on a long term basis. So if you need more than £1,000 of your money you need to go to another branch. Staff obviously couldn’t care less about the reduced level of services and the impact on HSBC customers. Come on HSBC, you’re pushing my loyalty to its limits with your cost cutting measures - I don’t see my bank charges coming down in line with your reduced services.
Really let down by HSBC at Stafford didn't know that they had closed the counter service in September 2021 until this week when I needed £2000 cash for urgent roofing repairs on my house, no counter service and limit on my card only £300 so had to go back to cash point for 7 days to get out my money! Nearest branch with counter is at Wolverhampton apparently, i'm not happy at all - seriously considering changing branches. My friend had the same trouble and went to Santander who are apparently much more helpful and let you have your money.......... Very disappointed as we have been with HSBC for many years and up to now had no problems but PEOPLE NEED TO BE ABLE TO GET THEIR MONEY OUT!!!!!!
I can understand the need for social distancing, but if they are going to change the opening hours, they need to update the internet first. I have made an unnecessary trip to get to the bank and its closed. I now have to make another trip out to return, if my employer will let me.
After splitting up with my partner, who had not allowed me any access to the joint finances, I found myself having to piece together what was actually happening with my money every month, having to open myself a new bank account, trying to separate what was my financial responsibility and what were joint responsibility, all at a time when I was obviously having to deal with a lot of other issues. The staff in this branch couldn't do enough for me, especially Anne who has been "my Rock". thanks to everyone of these people, they're the best!
went to draw money out today with my natwest debit card and the machine literally ate my card, so i went into the bank to ask why this had happened and they said they was unsure and there was nothing they could do about it so i have had to order another card because there machines eat your cards! worst customer service ever and not very helpful at all do not draw money out of this banks machine unless you want your card robbed.
Like most banks they want your money but then try to shaft you if you are a small business. We only use them because they are the best of a bad bunch
No direct number to the bank, 20 minutes on hold, no appointment for two weeks, only want to open an account and switch. Clearly you do not want the business
For people who work on weekdays and have time on weekends, this bank timings are not useful
Friendly staff but don't have a counter anymore.
