I have recently switched my Business Account from HSBC to Santander. I have experienced the worst customer support and service from HSBC – confirming my decision to change banks was the right one. The staff are very polite but not effective or efficient. Due to the most recent error by HBSC on my closed business account I and my staff have had to spend most of our working days trying to rectify the problems they have caused. This has had a huge cost impact on my small business which has also the potential to be very damaging to my reputation with my clients as well as the effect on my finances. I do not usually go public with my complaints but the frustration and stress with the current situation has led me to do so.

I went to the bank five times to open a account. First time they where nice, polite, told me what papers I need and asked if I want an appointment for my next visit, I declined it because did not know when i would be back. Went back the second time just for them to tell me that I do not have the correct papers ( I had what they asked for ), when I asked for a appointment I was told that they don't do appointments and asked to come back the next day around 10:00 which I did but nobody was available to see me. Went back for the fourth time and was told that I need my employer to write a letter that proves I live at the address that I have a lease contract for, they could have told me that the first time. Today I went again, I don't know why, the bank was empty and I was told that I need an appointment because they are very busy. I will not go back again and would not recommend the bank to my friends, it was just a waste of my time and was extremely confusing to get different information every day.

A bank as major as HSBC and they only have 2 counters? Spent nearly 15 minutes in a line today. Unimpressed and will avoid making any transactions with them in the future. Other banks have long queues too, but they also have a minimum of 3 to 4 counters running with efficient staff attending to matters as quick but as percise. Pick it up HSBC.

Rubbish bank!They don't help peoples with nothing.Only they want more money from them.If you are in financial trouble they give you only advice.It is more convenient for them to charging you as much as they can.

Every time I come here it's a long waiting time either too understaffed or not enough pcs for colleagues to work on, it's the only branch we have here and they can't even provide a decent service! Take my advice never bank here!
