Have Sink unit which is diabolically far too easily scratched with just a PLASTIC dryer sitting on it! Their "quality control" team (after having to chase for response) assess has been damaged "on site" ?! Also have stain on their hub of which they have offered only to fir us to refer to manual page 12?!... their customer support has been very lackadaisical and non helpful! Considering next step to escalate matter!!

Purchased a kitchen at Greenock Howdens just a month ago. With this kitchen we were advised against installing an enamel sink and directed towards a composite sink being a " Lamona white composite undermount sink". Sad to say, against our better judgement, we went along with this recommendation. This sink is not, " fit for purpose" unless you wish to spend your day cleaning it after ever use. DONT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CHOOSE THIS SINK as you will be left with the misfortune of having to try to deal with the stores Manager, ( I use this term loosely ), Paul, who is extremely challenged in trying to carry out his position to any merit. He cannot explain why this staining occurs but has assured me that it is my own fault and has stonewalled any other possible explanation leaning towards the sink not being fit for purpose. Furthermore, he cannot explain in any detail what their "2 years guarantee" actually covers and asking for any clarifcation is utterly pointless as it was defined over and over again by him as covering "the product " This guy is clearly out of his depth in this role and its completely pointless to have to labour the point with him. I have a dishwasher so woe betide anyone who has to actually use this sink to its full purpose!!!!!! I am now left with a battle of taking my complaint to Consumers Advice which I am in the process of doing now. My worktops now cannot be fitted as there is not any way that i can keep this sink now knowing how much maintenance it requires. I am afraid to say its the dreaded old case of great service whilst selling you a kitchen but utterly shocking aftercare or in my case after abuse, once they have your money!!!!!!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was completely happy with my Howdens kitchen, but my contractor left the job half done and some of the work left undone was in a dangerous condition and completely unsatisfactory condition. I have items surplus to requirement and a splash back for the hob which is too big for the space left. I have been told I cannot be refunded for these items and if I return them the money will go to the contractors account. I have been left between a rock and a hard place, I most certainly will not be having any more contact with the contractor, nor Howdens in case of any dispute with future contractors. WOULD YOU.

Stay well clear of Howdens in Greenock. I purchased a defective kitchen which I reported on the day of installation. It took them a month to come and see it and when they did they acknowledged the fault but blamed me and the fitter. Complete nonsense. Tried to get even a part refund but this was refused. If you want junk - go to Howdens. You have been warned!
