These guys sorted me out, had everything I needed. Stuart helped me get the right wood for some planters and gave me a couple of scrap pieces to help me out too. Will definitely be coming here for supplies in future. Don't judge my corner joint, I'm an amatuer!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff with a great selection of timber. Went in wanting to replicate an existing skirting board using square edge timber and a staff bead on top and they spent time finding the right combination of board and bead for my project even though i wasn't buying a very large quantity.
Highly recommend using this business. Helpful, polite staff. Will use again and again!
Very helpful, no machine cutting though. Hand saws are provided with bench and rule to cut timber to your lengths. Good shop for tools and accessories.
I can't complain about the service, there isn't any. Unanswered emails, unreturned phone calls. Could it be any worse???
Telephoned Howarth Timber for help on a purchase. I explained that I do not know much about these things door linings. In return received sarcasm and poor customer service. Despite providing measurements I was just given the square meter price and when I asked 'Do I have to work out the measurements and price myself?'. I was told yes. I just called another timber merchants and although more expensive, I gave them my custom.
Went to the yard to look at materials for a deck. I was stopped and told I couldn't view the wood and had to order at the counter. I went in to order at the counter and the attendant looked at me incredulously the whole time I talked to him. He then started to swear under his breath. Firstly he obviously had no clue about wood decking as he couldn't answer any of my questions and secondly I have never been treated so poorly in 30 years. I will take all my future business elsewhere and never return.
Alistair was brilliant to deal with. He helped with selecting and arranging skirting and architrave with next day delivery. Great service at a good price.
Such a great local DIY/trade store & timber yard. Has most things you’ll need. Helpful staff too.
Bought some OSB. Good quality and delivered within 3 days as promised. Thanks!
