It’s almost ok for what it easy, staff were friendly. The hotel itself however can do with a total refurbishment, all carpets were stained and soiled, didn’t look as though they had ever been cleaned. The shower had black mould and the beds were pretty uncomfortable even with a topper on them.
Breakfast was reasonable, with plenty of choice. The bar didn't have a great selection, and the room was shabby. The bathroom looked grubby and had seen better days.nThe staff were all polite and welcoming but the room we had didn't really reflect the price we paid.
5 mins from train station. There is a hungry horse next door which was handy as we arrived at around 7.30.nCheck in staff friendly, no.problemsnRoom was clean and good for what we needed. Comfy bed. Good night's sleep for 2 nights.nBreakfast was excellent Mags who was on duty was friendly and chatty felt I already knew her.nThings not so good.nShower didn't have great power and 2 of the morning the water was not very hot. The evenings the water was hot and on the last morning it was.nRoom could do with a little tlcnOh we were woken on the Sunday to people taking loudly outside our window in the early hours. This is not hotels fault it was inconsideration of some the guests.nOverall a really good stay for the money a d we would stay again
We always use ibis Shipley when visiting relatives it’s in a great location the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is good. The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is fair.
We've stayed here lots of times. The attraction is that it's a decent, reasonably priced hotel and it's handy for town and transport connections. Free parking is right outside.nThe hotel is looking a little careworn these days, but it still fulfils our requirements. The staff are always nice and we enjoy our trips to Yorkshire
