I am a loyal customer and i bought so many times chocolate from here! These are the best you can get Staff are always nice and friendly! Highly recommend this place!
Very delicious place to be in! ... Had to get out before I bought the shop!...lots of options available whether you want vegan chocolate to dark etc etc got some Turkish delights and ginger chocolates! Yep...epic! It's that kind of variety that makes customers come back all the time, other places just can't do what these guys do! Very clean and tidy store, staff are very friendly and helpful... Knew what I wanted straight away but everything is very clear and precise! Prices are good, but it just depends on what you want? ‍Disabled friendly and access to the store is wide and open all round! 5*
When into town to buy a suit came home with these 2 boxes of bitesize delights the fact they were half price just sweetened the deal I wished I had taken photos of the selections, needless to say they were fabulous, the Treacle Tart and the Carrot Cake with real carrot are both noteworth of mention from the Patisserie selection, whilst the Caramel Cheesecake and the Peanut Butter were 2 standouts from the sublime offering in the Everything selection. Only down size was the kilo I seemed to have gained, but the enjoyment was everything and definitely worth it. As with all things "Hotel Chocolaty" worth every penny. Will buy again only this time I shall consume whilst using a little more will power.
Overpriced chocolates but bought them anyway because of the person I was buying for. The service was absolutely nonexistent. The cashier did not acknowledge me at all, her attitude was more of "you're not buying anything". Didn't offer any help or advice, only acknowledge me when I went to pay!
I rarely give bad reviews but felt so disappointed when I left Hotel Chocolat West Quay Southampton today I've decided to. You can't fault the chocolate but you can fault ethics and this is what this review is concerning. When I came to pay for my purchase, I was asked if I'd like to save 15% today, which I obviously did and asked how? I was advised just by giving my email address. I advised the shop assistant that they already had it, at which point no more mention of money saving was mentioned, until I questioned am I not saving 15%? To which the reply was No! Why, as an existing customer am I less important to a company than one who has yet to provide their email address? I find this insulting and unfortunately too common today. This is the first time I have shopped in this store. The shop assistants are young people just doing their jobs, they didn't care that I wasn't saving money. These decisions are made further up and if the people making these decisions don't care about their customers, where is the incentive for those working in the shops to care. It's no wonder retail is dying on its feet. There was a time when existing customers were rewarded for their loyalty and before a response is given by Hotel Chocolat, suggesting that having my name put into a raffle each time I purchase matches 15% off at the till when it's been offered, it doesn't!
Shared a drink with my mum. Was nice to try. But wasn't too found of the mocha. Next time may choose an Americano. I had a choco milk shake. Which I was pleased with. Thank you Hotel chocolat.

Love a good hotel chocolat. They are always handing out samples, a little expensive but it's a specialist shop so wouldn't expect anything else. The 3 for £10 packets are good value for the quality of the chocolate. Friendly staff always willing to help out and very chatty with the kids too
Always a wonderful treat to visit Hotel Chocolat. The Southampton store is located in West Quay shopping centre which has a great variety of stores and eating places. The chocolates are of premium quality, and also sell their own brand drinking chocolates and machines, latest variety is Black Forest just right for those cold winter days and Christmas
