Great Place & Well Looked After by Leeds City Council. Clean & Tidy. Plenty of Stuff for Kids in The Kids Play Area. The Little Japanese Garden is a Cute Place Walk Around. Huge Park for Walking or Running. A Big Free Parking Area is Very Handy. Playground: Plenty of Rides and Playing Stuff for Kids to Get Around With. Dog-friendliness: Clean Wide Park to Walk with Dogs & The Bins Provided all around the Park are Very Useful.
Park paths need some attention. Horsforth in Bloom and the Community Garden project do some great work to enhance the park. Lots going on with regular fun fairs and more recently galas and junior Park run. Foxes make a bit of a mess overnight but gets picked up. Lots of dogs there, owners mostly considerate and respectful. Grass is mown regularly and creditable woodland project ongoing. Sometimes in wet times there can be minor flooding. Japanese garden needs some attention. Natter Bench a lovely idea and well cared for, as are benches generally. Sunday bands sometimes at bandstand and carols at Christmas. Cricket Club has very active social side. A great park overall. Playground: Good for little kids Dog-friendliness: Lots of them Picnic area: Some benches
Lovely park with kids park run going on but not too busy and plenty of room to walk with my reactive dogs to avoid other dogs. Very clean
Lovely place to have a walk around and visit. Went to see the Japanese Gardens but sadly they look like they need work doing to as it's not as glorious as it used to be, besides that it's a lovely place for a walk and even a picnic when the weather is right of course. Playground: It's small but sufficient. Dog-friendliness: Lots of space for your furry family member to run around in.
Only small, but a lovely place for a walk. I took my baby strapped to me, but you could easily push a pram around if it had some sturdy wheels. Great little place for some fresh air.
This place is a wonderful place to visit and to take the friends and family. The park is many acres of grassland with some woodland which is perfect to walk the dogs or kids. There is a kids park for them to play in which is closed off and an area enclosed to let dogs off of the lead. The park is located at the bottom of horsforth and there is food and drink places nearby. In the center of the park is a wonderful curry house serving homemade currys and giant naan breads they also deliver. I have visited this park many, many times over the years and it's constantly improving. There are events throughout the year at the park including visiting fun fairs and fairs. The park has two carparks located at opposite sides of the park to each other and the park is relatively flat with flat paths throughout.
Nice pleasant Park. Japanese gardens and places to sit and meet new people. Natter Bench are placed within the park should you wish to meet and greet for a little natter. Nice mental health awareness touch. Skate park for all ages little kids play area just off Hall lane behind the Japanese garden. And also Cricket to watch. I believe a cafe and an Ice cream van should you wish to indulge in some childhood sugar fixes. Plenty of nice places to sit and eat and relax under the trees or benches. We enjoyed a picnic and a nice stroll into Hunger Hills. It has become one of our regular haunts Fur baby Alfie who loves to walk around the Japanese garden. very pleasant dogowners and dogs are very well socialised. Children not so sure about maybe they should be kept on a tight leash. Recommend.
Lovely, big park with different areas, such as a skatepark, forestry bits, workout equipment and a Japanese Garden. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful park with lovely play area for children. Think would benefit from 2 play areas to space out as was very busy and parking none existent sadly when its so busy. We walked from the town and enjiyed a ramble round
