Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley opened in Sept 2010 and has brought to Rugeley a care home of exceptional quality. Offering residential and dementia care.

Story

The care home is managed by award winning, and nationally acclaimed Avery Healthcare. There is a secluded garden, in which we enjoy afternoon teas and restaurant standard dining. We have a daily and varied activities programme for our elderly residents.

At Avery, we always uphold and respect the decisions made by our residents. We make sure to have signed permission forms for all Avery residents pictured on our social media platforms. We do not upload any photographs of residents who do not wish to be pictured on our social media.

I’m a part of Victory Church Rugeley, we have a team of ladies and some gentlemen who visit the residents once a month for some drinks and to have a good old natter. I know I can speak on behalf of all at Victory that we love visiting Horse Fair Care Home as when we arrive we are treated as Family by the lovely Lisa and all the carers are fantastic at their care when we are in the lounge with the residents. We cannot thank Lisa enough for connecting us to Horse Fair Care Home, as this has brought some friendships with volunteers at Victory and residents at Horse Fair Care Home.

I have had the wonderful pleasure of visiting Horse Fair care home in rugeley with our church and to many of the events organised. We were welcomed with such warmth, care and even a lovely coffee. The lovely Lisa Austin is an amazing host and she has been to many of our groups at the church to talk about Horse fair and been involved in many of the community projects. We can’t thank them enough for all their support.

A huge thank you to the staff and management team for the Extravaganza Event on 29th March.  I visited the home with my Grandchildren who had a really lovely day.   It was so well organised and everyone including the staff seemed to really enjoying being involved in the event.   I have to say, if the events are this well organised, then I know the care must be good !

I have had a wonderful time each time I have visited Horse Fair Care Home. They have a wonderful connection with the community and have created a warm and caring environment, it is always a pleasure to visit.

I visit twice a week to Horsefair Care Home , for Hairdressing on the absolutely lovely ladies and Gents , living at Horsefair, I cannot tell you how much this is a very special Home. Horsefair is the most warming friendly and extremely caring place , nothing is ever to much ,so attentive to everyone , they always go that extra mile , My Clients living at Horsefair are always happy , they are very fond of all the staff there  , Like a big family are words they use , So helpful , wonderful, so so caring, there’s everything you need and want , there’s always something going on, Outings to singers , I see it everytime I visit Horsefair Carehome , It truly is an amazing Home  An absolute pleasure to visit

I visit this care home weekly to engage with a hour exercise classes with the residents.  This care home is really up there for me! Amazing-Caring staff who are always welcoming, and the residents are such a breath of fresh air!… the staff here are really passionate and dedicated to taking care of each residence with round the clock individual care of refreshments and aid to help each resident from what I see.  The set up is very well, I have a close bond with each resident and now the staff myself and I always look forward to visiting this fabulous home!  Its an amazing home with great facilities and a fabulous big garden for the residents to enjoy! In a great location accessible by any means of travel.  Beyond 5 star :

I deliver seated fitness sessions through a company called Fitnniss, the staff are lovely and helpful and the residents always take part with plenty of enthusiasm.

My mum has been at Horse Fair care home since June, 2018, after a settling in period she is contented, happy, safe and well cared for. Within a few days all the staff knew her by name as they do all the residents. Horse Fair is an extremely happy home from when you first enter the lovely reception with pleasant background music playing and fresh flowers on display. All the Reception staff greet you with a smile and are always welcoming. All staff are very friendly, they speak to relatives who are visiting, they never pass a resident by without saying “hello” which both residents and visitors appreciate.  All residents are well cared for. The food is very good; menu’s displayed daily so families can see what their loved ones are having. Laundry staff often pass by with trolleys of clean bedding and clothing, again acknowledging residents and families with a smile and “hello”.  The café area is a pleasant place to take your relative with a kitchen where you can make hot drinks. Horse Fair home made cakes are available and delicious.  During warm weather, the enclosed garden is a pleasant spot to walk around or sit in. The resident budgies and guinea pig are very popular.  Regular events take place throughout the year both for residents and families and friends. Horse Fair is a happy, caring and clean home to live in.  I’m very pleased with all the care my mum receives upstairs in the dementia suite and couldn’t fault any of the staff throughout the home.

My Mum moved into Horse Fair in November 2018 and the Staff have been so kind, compassionate and caring. I have been truly impressed at the  level of care from everyone involved from cleaning staff, laundry, carers, entertainment team and Management. Moving into a Care Home is a difficult decision for both Residents and Family alike and at Horse Fair, , relatives and Residents are both given a huge amount of support to ease this transition. Myself and my Family cannot thank them enough for their continued support and would not hesitate in recommending Horse Fair to anyone looking for a new Home for their loved ones. As a professional visitor within the ambulance service i have visited this home on a number of occasions. The care and compassion the staff have for every resident in the home is outstanding and the residents needs and preferences  are paramount in there work and this is clear from how the care staff approach and care for their residents. The care staff and management are fully supportive to not just the residents but there loved ones too. Every time i have visited the home i have been made to feel welcome and supported in anything needed and felt at ease when asking for anything. Horsefair care home has a very hard working team throughout the whole home
