Really nice place to shop set in a replica leafy lane setting. Good shops and some very good bargains to be had along with some local produce offerings Bugtopia on site and my daughter, husband and two granddaughters said it was well worth a visit and reasonably priced. Good cafes and ice-creams. Would give 5 stars but quite a few closed units - sign of the times I’m afraid
Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces and not too far from the shops. The shops that were open were OK, not outstanding; a bit cramped in some with my grandson in a buggy. It would be suitable for a wheelchair user to get into I’d say all of the shops, just unsure once in if there’s enough room to manoeuvre a wheelchair. There is a disabled toilet which I used with my Grandson and it was clean. I purchased a couple of items in a sale for my grandson and was happy with them. If you live in Hornsea or if you are going there anyway as I was then it’s worth visiting this shopping centre but I wouldn’t rate it good enough to make a special journey.
Plenty of shops and nice place to browse or have a coffee/ snack plus something for the kids to do at bugtopia!!
Not bowled over. Ever since they remodeled the place a decade or so ago it went downhill. Lovely cafes, and a handful or 2 of shops, mainly clothes including regatta and a wedding dress shop
A few interesting shops but a lot of things more expensive than in a town centre store.
Love this place however the opening times need to be later. Shut at 5pm when most people don't finish work until then.. especially near Christmas!!
Staff in the stores we visited were brilliant. Long way to walk between areas and signage could be better, not great if walking is an issue. Parking is good.
Aside from The Works, Bugtopia and Brewers Cafe the Freeport is a waste of space. It needs a massive overhaul and new smaller units creating for niche business, crafters and something different to bring footfall in. Cheaper rents too.
Nice little shopping area. Its not the biggest you can find around but it has a good selection of shops especially clothing, suited better to the middle and older aged people. Its also home to bug topia. An insect, bird and reptile zoo, although small it's worth a visit to see the animals. The site also has a coffee shop and cafe, the works shop and a Thorntons. Parking is available, public toiles and rest area. Dog friendly and generally clean.
This has the potential to be a decent outlet centre. The centre is attractively set out along leafy paths and small plazas however there is no hiding the fact that there are a large number of empty units and those that remain are largely deserted. Google maps reported that the Freeport was “busier than usual” during my visit. I hate to think what it is like on a slow day. I’d like to think that the management can turn the centre around but a quick glance at the reviews suggest the Freeport has been on a downward trajectory for several years.
