What a view!!!! ....but what a climb!! Not a long walk but I was fair out of puff when I reached the summit. Views, however, made it well worth the effort as you can see for miles!! Stoney path so decent pair of trainers required. Tiny carpark less than 10 spaces i reckon. Good way to kill an hour if youre in the vicinity
Was lovely , so peaceful here , while the masses descended on the coast ! Great views from Byres Hill , Tower open to climb but not for the lighthearted , dark so unable to see steps in places .
Up a hill witch can be very steep at points. Near the top there is a rocky patch to get to the top. So watch yourself. I believe these could be treacherous is rain or snow. View from top is awesome on a clear day. Tower is very high. Lovely monument.
Beautiful tower monument. There's a wee car park and it takes 5-10 mins to walk up to the monument. The hill has some pretty amazing views! Take a light torch if you want to climb up, staircase is quite steep and dark. A real adventure!
A picturesque monument, standing on a rare piece of high-ground, in East Lothian. As a result, the views are fantastic. I went in the evening, when the sun was in the west, which caused a lot of haze. Those of you who like to take photos, might be better visiting in the late morning, or early afternoon, when the sun is over the Lammermuir Hills, to the south.
Amazing view and well worth the climb, however I would not recommend for anyone not able bodied as the stairs were very narrow, steep and in some places, poor repair.
Great little walk and excellent views from the top. Probably not suitable if you are worried about heights.
Best monument in Haddington! Great wee walk with awesome views from the top.
Short climb but good views all round. Still snowy today.
Spectacular views if you're willing enough to climb & descend a narrow spiral staircase. Look out for the pigeon detritus.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
