This is a really good place for multiple course meals. The dinner was great from start through the end. Goat cheese fritters and butternut squash soup were amazing starters. The mushroom risotto is really great and so is green Thai curry dish. Off all the deserts, the sticky toffee pudding was the one we liked the most. The staff are quite polite and professional. The place doesn't serve alcohol but you can bridge the gap by BYO. Definitely Recommended for taste of different intercontinental dishes if you're in Belfast city centre!
It’s supposed to be an enjoyable dinner. However unfortunately ended up with a bit of unhappiness. The squid was good, nice touch with the chilly sauce. The sea bass was a bit overcooked. The burnt taste was a bit too strong. The veggie below was nice. And lastly the dessert, almost all ice cream, unfortunately I was not able to take. So didn’t order any dessert. When getting the bill, the payment should be 29. I gave 40. They only returned me 10. The girl said that the madam manager only gave her that. I asked if that’s correct. The girl took back the money. The manager came and denied that she gave the waitress only 10. She said the girl didn’t understand. Completely ignored the fact that she gave the girl only 10 pound and totally just passed the mistake to the poor girl. I guess that’s how good your service was. Refuse to admit the mistake. And the manager had treated the British sitting beside me pretty well with good attitude, but I guess I looked not wealthy enough for her. So there goes the great service. I’m just a tourist anyway, won’t be going to return for another visit.
Very cute little restaurant, excellent service and delicious food! They gave me a complimentary goat cheese appetizer. For the main course I had chicken valdostana. The chicken was quite tender. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. I would definitely add it on it the "must try" food list in Belfast!
I have been here before, and I will definitely return again. When I visited the last time I just gave it 5 stars without a comment... I Think it needs a bit more from me... We visited again last night 18th Sept 2022 Everything in Hope Street is wonderful. From being greeted at the door, to the comfortable surroundings, the wonderful front of house team who are so attentive and couldn't do enough for you. The Food.... OMG the food. Delicious!! Every bite perfectly cooked and presented, with ingredients that compliment each other. I will definitely be back... Oh... and it's a Bring Your Own Drinks, so that also kept the cost down... You have got to try it... You will not be disappointed.
Great portions, lovely food, every plate has the same attention in the kitchen. Just a couple times where one guest was left without their meal, or drink, but quickly rectified once pointed out. BYO is a nice difference and can save money but watch for charges on each can or bottle you bring in.Food: 5/5
More than delicious. Had the pre-theatre menu for £22.95 and one of the best meals we have had for a long time. Fish cakes and Thai beef to start, fabulous. Could the mains be as good, yes they were. Thai chicken green curry and chicken/chorizo pasta, again fabulous. BYO works perfectly and happy to pay a corkage fee. Staff welcoming and friendly. Can’t recommend enough.
We were just for one night in Belfast & luckily came across this restaurant: WOW! The food was amazing, especially the meat. Service was also outstanding.
Excellent Christmas lunch today! Can't fault the food perfect portions too!! The service was friendly and relaxed!! Thanks for the great experience & much appreciated this Christmas Day 2022!!! Vegetarian options: Ample vegetarian options
Just last week I went to Hope Street for the first time and was absolutely delighted with the food and also the top class service from start to finish. We were given a complimentary starter and also two beers, and every piece of food was eaten, will certainly be back as it is local. Was pleasantly surprised with the price and looking forward to returning! GRMA
Amazing!! Absolutely loved the Chicken Chorizo Penna Pasta. Melts in your mouth. And the side of garlic potatoes perfect butter, garlic, soft with a crunch.
