Left with a Huge hole in my ceiling for a very very lengthy period of time after an engineer told me our leak was caused through vigorous showering for it then to be even worse the day after…appointed subcontractors caused more damage than good… ceiling replacement is almost as bad as what the initial damage caused .. asked for proof of damage via pictures to be told it was insufficient evidence… I have told them their appointed subcontractors aren’t allowed in the house again however I would be happy for them to send someone.. they clearly don’t listen or care… the worse company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with or even giving my money to. I wished I’d looked at these reviews much sooner. Pictures of how my house was left for months and months with only half of the spot lights not able to have my Christmas dinner and family over… not being able to put my house up for sale and missing out on 2 properties as I wasn’t able to proceed. Repair works took longer than originally stated and without lighting in my kitchen for 7 days had to eat out and buy take aways and sit in our bedroom. The subcontractors have ruined my LVT flooring the list goes on… they have offered £750 compensation for months and months of making my family’s life HELL . To fix all the damage caused it’s around £2500 with like for like materials. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY
Everyone are so friendly and nice when you’re buying a home insurance. But when you call is in regards a claim … They’re so unhelpful so unfriendly and there’s a lot of call you later or you need to contact us Sr. This is what I have heard. So yes I cannot wait to cancel my insurance with them
Still Left With a Leak, No Power, No Water – and No Help in SightnnAbsolutely appalling. I’m currently dealing with a major water leak inside my home, and I still have no electricity, no running water, and no support – all while caring for my 73-year-old parent. This is an active emergency, and yet I’ve been given an “emergency” appointment 24 hours later. What part of that is emergency service?nnI’ve called three times, and every single time I’m fobbed off with, “There’s nothing we can do.” No escalation, no sense of urgency, and absolutely no solution. The leak is still happening. The damage is getting worse. I’ve had to shut off not only my own water but also my neighbour’s supply just to try to limit the chaos – something no resident should ever have to do.nnWe’re now left with a dangerous situation. There’s water coming in, no working electricity, and an elderly person in the house who is completely vulnerable. And the only response I’ve had is indifference. No options, no timeline, no concern. Just shrugged shoulders from every call handler I’ve spoken to.nnThis is not just poor service – it’s gross negligence. And right now, we are still in the middle of it.
AVOID AVOID at all costs! I have been paying their quarterly fee totalling to £216 on top of a £60 call out charge to fix a blocked drain. I asked for a plumber and the first person they sent me said he is not a plumber. So they sent a second person, he said he had cleared the blocked drain, but did not finish the job. When I asked for another plumber to come and finish the job, they cancelled the appointment, claiming it is not covered. When in their policy it is CLEAR that blocked drains are covered. They took my money, refused to refund, and did not finish the job. If you want to have your money stolen, go with Homeserve. If you prefer to not have your money stolen, I beg of you, stay away from Homeserve! I cannot tell you how distressing my experience with them has been. So unkind! Horrible company!
A company that cannot safely service a boiler and then fail to accept responsibility when the boiler fails days after the service due to a water leak being clearly visible is disgusting. Self serve are denying accountability despite independent boiler assessments clearly showing them at fault. The after care is something else. If you really want to reevaluate your life choices, then spending half an hour on the phone with selfserve will make you realise just how unqualified you can be to tell someone their home is safe.nThis is month number 2 without a boiler due to it being condemned 2 weeks after the Homeserve “service”.nIf you do have the disillusionment to require selfserves service team, just make sure you leave somewhere for them to tie up their horse.
