No problems with engineers it's the customer service staff who are pretty useless and clueless. They do not know how to communicate effectively with customers or how to make the best of the engineers time. Good thing is this company has recently been taken over and l believe that the new owners are of the opinion if you are not making things happen and are just upsetting customers then there's no place for you. Good bring it on and get some decent admin staff.
Unbelievably bad service. Had me on the phone for 7+hours yesterday, on hold. Context: A burst pipe, on the exterior of the property. Pressure drop inside property causing very little to no water to run. 1 child and 1 disabled person in the house. Making it very difficult. Called at 1pm they answered at 4pm, told us to wait 4 hours for someone to call. They didn’t so called back at 9 and they answered at 2:30am. Not sure if the operators have a hard time finding the answer button on the phones they have or if they’re just playing hot potato with the phone. Can’t believe I was up till 2:30 for the lady to just say she can’t do anything?? Probably the worst experience I’ve had with any company. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON’T CHOOSE HOMESERVE. Do better, you’ve lost a customer.
Very unhappy with their policy, I took out drain cover on 15/12 and reported blocked drains today, only to be told the policy doesn't actually go live until 12/01 so they can avoid doing any work during the cool off period. I asked if I can call someone out after this only to be told that it would be classed as a pre-existing problem and I wouldn't be able to claim, even though my documents clearly state my cover term is 15/12/22-14/12/23, you are paying for an extra month without cover!
So glad we wasted our money insuring with Privilege Home who are partnered with HomeServe. I filed a claim on Monday last week and was told I'd be contacted within 48 hours. I waited until the third day to call them and asked them if anyone was picking up our claim, to which they apologised and fobbed me off again saying an engineer would call within another 48 hours. It's now been a week with no contact, they must be waiting until the roof collapses on Christmas Day. Customer service sounds like it's ran from a kitchen table anyway, absolute clown show.
I would give them a zero if I could! I've had a broken boiler for 9 days now, so no hot water or heating. They came to "fix it" and it broke again the next day. That was 5 days ago and they were supposed to come today and never turned up... it's so shameful! I am trying to get through to them on the phone without success hence me writing this to vent!!! Such a terrible service!!!
Shocking company blaming a recovering brain surgery vunrable adult to get out of paying for a leather seat which is under warranty and insured which was meant to be brown and know is half orange . Said it was my fault for sitting on it and cleaning it even though all the other seats are perfect I color which where purchased at same time . Whats the point of having insurance if they fobb you off with
We had a burst pipe in en-suite on Friday 29 December evening, rang Homeserve they were brilliant would have come out that evening but as hubby had turned isolating valve off we said we would wait till next day, all fixed no hassle, very pleased apart from carpet in bedroom still rather soggy which isn’t there department
We had a leak on our mains water pipe, a long distance pipe over shared land and difficult terrain.Our engineer John traced the leak and fixed it in a professional manner with the minimum of disruption - highly recommend , thank you.
Don’t bother buying their policy, it is a scam. They are not there to help any of their customers, they will find every excuse in the book NOT to fix your boiler. Their engineers at least the one they sent out to us didn’t know what he was doing. He was also more keen on getting off the books business by offering new radiators which he claimed was the root cause of the issue. After spending thousands of pounds, we are left with a dodgy boiler, and dodgy heating in the house. Shameful service from this scam of a company. Keep away!
Why isn’t there a flat rate for customers? Family members have excess of £20 with only a few pounds a month. My policy is going up from £4 to £20 odd pound still £100 excess. Where does the working outs of this show? Not really helpful with todays cost of living. 3 stars now to 2! Edit. Cancelled all policies with you yet charged. Please refund ASAP
