I try to use shops rather than buy on line because if we don't use shops we lose them. However my experience today makes me understand why people shop on line. Although I was able to get most things I needed, the way I was served was appalling. No please or thank you and continuing talking with his colleague was utterly rude. As customers we have options and shopping in homebase won't be one of mine in future
We experienced outstanding customer service from Tom and his friendly team in the Godalming Homebase store today. He approached us, immediately understood our issues and found a great solution, When we returned later in the day to complete our purchase, he organised the CS team and had our order prepared and taken to the car in moments..Really appreciated the help and professional attitude.
Purchased an outdoor sofa and looked at tool boxes both were very competitively priced. Order was ready when we arrived and assistant help load my car.
Popped in and walked out with a new lawnmower.nGood place well set out.nParking spaces outside.nPleasant staff.
This place is almost unstaffed. It’s rare to see anyone on an actual till - I don’t know why they have so many ?!nThe ‘help desk’ I use the term loosely is the only place to purchase items and consequently there is often a queue nThe younger staff are completely disinterested in being there and two weeks ago I was served by an older woman on an actual till who was so miserable and opinionated she would’ve been better placed out of sight and away from the public entirely !nThis store is miserable, generally unhelpful, poorly staffed and a pretty negative place to shop at.nDon’t bother.
